  • Isomoar I don't think the Greenworks plugin has implemented the leaderboard feature so you'll have to use the Steam4C2 plugin. I use it for my game and steam leaderboards was super easy to get working. Good luck with your project <img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_e_smile.gif" alt=":)" title="Smile"> https://www.scirra.com/store/search?q=steam4c2

  • MPPlantOfficial It destroys the oldest instance by doing it that way no matter what instance number the objects has. I tried and it works perfectly no matter what objects are colliding only one of the two was destroyed everytime.

So if instance(3) and instance(4) collided then only one of them was destroyed anyway.

As you can see it works for all instances. The boxes are instances of the same object but with different animation frames. You can also use "pick random instance" as a condition on the collision event instead and it will pick one of the two colliding instances at random to destroy.

  • That destroys only one of the two colliding objects. But you can achieve the same thing with many different conditions as well.

  • Use "is brick overlapping brick" and then pick one of them with another condition. After that you use the destroy action and it will only destroy the picked one. Use trigger once if it is not a subevent of a trigger.

You can also do it with on collision with brick and then a condition that picks one of them to destroy as well.

  • ishmaelmoreno Thank you very much 😊

We who sell our games on Steam are not really allowed to share any exact figures and cuts. So it is a bit hard to give you "solid proof".

And to be honest I really don't care. But I really don't see any point in lying about it.

Just my game on Steam has sold for a lot more than I made a year as a e-commerce manager here in Sweden so that much I can say and that is just a simple html5 game without any marketing whatsoever. But feel free to think whatever you want. I don't hold it against you And I wish you the best of luck with your future projects.

  • Try Construct 3

  • Artpunk Thank you. I can say the same about your game as well

Moot I understand that you are sceptical. Here in Sweden html5 is widely used by almost every major company and therefore we have tons of companies that produce and sell html5 products. I won't make a list but it should be a no brainer to understand that this market is pretty big. And Sweden is far from the only country.

I have my own studio here in Sweden and I can make a good living out of my html5 products.

So yes, html5 has its drawbacks with compability issues on consoles and 3rd party wrappers but that doesn't stop you from making a lot of money with it.

These type of posts are getting pretty tiresome. Asking if it is even possible to make money from a HTML5 game? Why wouldn't it?

You could easily make an exact clone of many hit games like hotline miami to name one. So it has more to do with the developers here and not the engine. So if someone here came up with and could market such a game then you would have a giant c2 hit game.

There are tons of big companies that makes a fortune out of html5 products. You can make games, banners and websites to make money with C2.

So to say that you can't make a profit out of C2 is just ignorance and lack of experience...

I will happily subscribe for a business license of C3. And like all my softwares C2 is awesome for some things and other engines are good at something else. No engine is perfect for everything.

But in the end. There is no limitation of c2 that makes it impossible to become a millionaire. It just takes a good developer to do it.

And $99 a year is less than a netflix subscribtion for god sake

  • Thank you, didn't expect to win at all. So that was some fantastic news to wake up to

  • Nice art and animations. I like environment effects on your death, the blood splatter and taking away obstacles (your death makes it easier for your opponents, and you when you respawn to complete the mission.)

Will the players be able to interact directly in future builds or levels (I can see how the can interact indirectly through the plates activating the lightning traps.) Since this is a bit of race game, it lends itself to race powerups like there are available in Mario Kart (banana peels, player seeking rockets, speed-ups, etc.)

Thank you, glad you like it. Yes I'm experimenting with weapons and powerups atm. This is one of many different mini games you compete in so it is important that the games aren't too long. But some kind of powerups will be added. This is a sequel to my game 8Bit Fiesta with the same concept but a lot more polished and better graphics

Thank you. Consoles was the target platform when I started working on 8Bit Fiesta but C2 games were not allowed to be published on the stores. However this seems to be changing now so I hope to be able to publish on consoles as well soon. They are both approved by Microsoft so hopefully it will work when UWP is up and running.

  • [quote:3mu97p9z]Xbox Live will soon be open to all developers via the Xbox Live Creators Program – no concept approval required!

Please don't tell me that consoles are dropping their quality control as well...

  • Thank you. Yes I decided to test out spriter for this project and I really like the workflow

  • ishmaelmoreno Thank you, I'll try

    Added a new playable character.
