  • Just updated with faster framerate. Also gamepad support coming very soon.

  • I would consider Bumper's Quest and Airscape great examples. Just as good as any mainstream engine. I am currently developing a different kind of platformer, one that blends elements from both puzzle platformers and point & click games.

The development has been smooth and the potential of the software is quite limitless. Here are a few stills from the game, and you can play an early buildHERE

  • Hey Tavitooo, awesome work and great attention to detail and implementation. Did you use construct in any form on this experiment?

  • Thanks for pointing me to the right links!

  • smitchell, thank you for explaining something that seems complex in a such simple manner. LERP is definitely going to be my new friend. Hope this also helps others as well. Going to start applying it right away.

  • Thank you, smitchell. I am not at all familiar with lerp, can you explain how this works. Thanks for your prompt response.

  • Hi guys, it seems that i'm stuck on the simplest task. How can i animate my game logo moving automatically from offscreen left to center of the screen while changing size from small to big in the simplest of ways. Do i have to use behaviors or can it be done through the set position commands. Any samples will be greatly welcomed. Thank you...

  • Thanks...

  • Guys, i know that you are very busy with the next update, i wanted to know if the CUSTOM LOADING SCREEN feature will be in the next release, if not, when can we expected. Thanks...

  • Excellent, that will be a great help and add a lot to the editor. Thank you.

  • You are correct Kyatric and thanks for the prompt response, the only thing is that even though we can currently apply these to multiple objects at the same time, construct still handles them as individual objects while maintaining their point of origins.

To better explain, imagine that you have 3 objects that when selected are grouped and act as if they were in a container with a new single point of origin that can now be resized, rotated, ect as one object.

  • As a designer i use many image editing programs (Photoshop, Painter, Illustrator), one feature that all of these programs have in common is the ability to affect multiple objects at the same time. EXAMPLE: (lets say i select 3 different objects that i want to resize equally, i would select these 3 objects, select the scale tool, and scale them as one)

Construct 2 has a great tool set, but it can greatly improve if you had the ability to apply rotate and scale to multiple objects as if they were one. This would be a great time saver as opposed to editing them one by one while in the layout.

Just a suggestion that would help reduce the time it would take to build and create assets in the editor. Thank you.

    CONSTRUCT 2 ROCKS!!!

  • *Somebody - Most likely a problem with global/private variables. It's a bug in r66, just update to r67.

I AM DOWNLOADING AS I TYPE THIS, THANK YOU.

*3DGS- is this what you are looking for?

THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT I WAS LOOKING FOR!, Thank you so much man.

  • First, I want to congratulate SCIRRA on such an amazing piece of software and the amazing community TOM and ASHLEY have built here!

Now, my question is how do i create a simple DRAG & DROP behavior to an object, i was using REXRAINBOWS dragdrop behavior he created since build r63, but now it seems not to work on R66. It causes my layout to freeze when i run it.

Can anyone help a NooB with on how to recreate this behavior, i have no idea how to use expressions!

Thank you for all the help.
