  • eli0s that's cool I did not know about that!

  • If you upgraded your devices to lollipop it's "normal". There's a bug that foreclose and restart apps in the background, it should be fixed by google soon.

Thanks for the response. I have upgraded to L but it was also happening before that.. Also my Nexus 5 has L and it doesn't happen It does sound like the same symptom though..

  • edit: changed the title

Any idea why my app would be behaving differently between my Nexus 5 and 7 (2013)?

It's when switching apps. On my Nexus 5, I switch to another app then back to mine, and it just switches normally. On my Nexus 7 (2013), it restarts the app completely, from the splash screen.

This also seems to render the Browser suspend/resume broken in some cases. i.e. when I switch/background/foreground my app, those events don't trigger (presumably because it's not task switching propertly). This is why I asked if it was broken in another thread.

Anyone testing their app with a Nexus 7 (2013)? If so, just use the capx in my other thread please and test it.

    Many thanks.

  • Why does the Z order manager just flash the selected object? It's like it's teasing us, saying "See, it's right there but you can't have it!". It would be VERY useful for it to actually select the object.

Currently how do you modify properties of an object that's under another? Temporarily re-order the z order, select your object, make the changes, then re-order it again? Bit of a pain.

  • Look into using a bots Family

  • thanks for the story and for sharing

  • you're welcome

  • hope it helps

  • Does anyone else use this

  • On Left button released -> go to Layout 2

So whenever you release the left button....

Secondly, you're using 'tap gesture' which isn't for rapid tapping. Use On touched object for that.

    edit: 1,000 posts

  • It looks like Browser On suspend/On resume are not being triggered as they were before. Functionality in my app that uses these seemed to stop working, so I've just done a quick test (in 191, pretty sure it was the same in 190 and 189) and built an Android Crosswalk app. It simply writes a webstorage value (current time) when suspended and loads it when resumed, and it's not happening when switching/backgrounding the app. It works fine when previewing in Chrome and just switching tabs.

    Thanks.
