lol 99$? you mean 0.99$? cause 99$ for a game like that its insane!

ihihihi, yep I really say 99.00$ for that crazy source code.. I bet more than 1000 peeps has paid that, so the original dev who made that code made close to 100K in like a couple of weeks (not counting the store fees to sell of course).. its a good business!

  • impe83 So you have any experience using chupamobile? I'd like to know more.

no experience as a seller, just as a buyer. I can say that the guy that made the flappy bird clone and sold it for 99$ was making very good money..

  • Yes, would be nice to check out some already successful games made with C2 on Appstore, please let us know!

  • Hi guys,

Im a new bie on game development (I just quitted my job to bootstrap my game business, but I already make some money from non-games apps), I just temporarily give up on Unity (its powerful but takes to much times and I dont need it all those features) and now focusing on C2 as a viable solution to make simple game easily.

My idea is to create HTML5 simple games (one game a week maybe?) convert them to iOS and sell them on Appstore.

Im looking also for partnership and collaboration, so in case feel free to contact me and let me know!

    Cheers

  • I'm been pretty upset with CocoonJS. Sure you can deploy with it, but what about making money? I found a better solution: EJecta and wrote up a tutorial about it today.

Wow great tutorial, I didnt even know this exist! thanks Taurian

  • Hi Phil, im also interested in some simple animation graphics (ios games), how I can contact you? can I see your portfolio if your style fits my games?

  • Hi there!

I know a better place might be to ask Ludei directly, but it's always good to have a 3rd party opinion.

I just read the for CocoonJS and stumbled upon these section:

my scenario will be something like this:

    • creating HTML5 game with Construct 2
    • optimize for iOS
    • upload to CocoonJS
    • upload to AppStore

Since I'm not an english native speaker and kind of a beginner in terms of law and stuff I would like to ask this community here if I have to worry about my games if I upload them to CocoonJS, that they might just steal them and totally get away with it, because of these TOUs?

If I'm totally wrong, can someone please explain this part of the TOUs to me? =)

    help would be much appreciated!

    greetings

    genbatzu

Great, this info was really helpful!

genbatzu I plan to do the same thing, maybe we chat about it and see if we can collaborate!

  • I'd calculate some more time than one week per game .. i haven't deployed a self made game on app store yet but i've been following the C2's export to mobile device possibilities for a while now. I think it has become a lot better in comparison to when i started with it when appMobi and Intel XDK were used. a big problem which i encountered is: where do you get your sprites from? drawing them by yourself will also cost u a lot of time ..

    cheers!

Thanks for the heads up! I plan to make uber simple games (aka Flappy Birds) so I really hope to cut the developing time using C2 and test if it fits my needs.

Well for now Im using free royalty stuff, but I consider to hire an external graphic guy

  • Wouldn't it have been smarter to have tested your abilities at earning money making games before quitting your job. You're on the dole, aren't you?

lol yes of course I tested, I already making money from some kids apps I been making and I think with games I should make even more..
