    Ashley I agree that using forum user votes as reference for development wont work as 99% of votes will probably come from "developers" who never even shipped a finished game before.

    I think you should use unreal engine development as a good example. Since they are creating games using their own engine, they constantly find real ways to improve their engine based on real world problems that appear during the process.

    I hope you already have something like that for C3, but if not, I definitely think it would be wise to have a couple of developers that you trust and use construct on serious projects give you solid feedback based on their experience shipping games using the engine.

  • hey there Magistross !

    Im having some problems with the "setvalue" command.

    First, if I use {setvalue:key,1,+} in the middle of a dialogue it works.

    BUT if I use the command at the very start of a dialogue it runs multiple times. (sets +1 3x before going to the actual text)

    what im doing for this to not happen is place a period before the command. this way it runs the period(text), than the command than back to the text again.

    another thing is I cant get the setvaleu to work as a SET. tried using:

    {setvalue:key,1,}

    and

    {setvalue:key,1}

    both cases the system just ignores this command and doesnt do anything.

    ideas?

    Zone of Lacryma (project 2ws) has just been uploaded to steam greenlight.

    I want to release it as a early access game asap to get some feedback from the community. Hopefully adding story content as we go and testing the waters. My idea is to release it as 1.0 until may/jun.

    I just got the green card as a playstation developer so ill be needing to change the direction on some of my projects.

    I have 2 projects im working on that use construct 2, but since there is no rumor about more exporter options I might have to just leave construct 2 behind and jump ship to game maker.

    If you can, please contact me via PM or email or whatever is best for you.

    If I get no answer from you, ill just figure that scirra has no plans to support console developers and ill just move on, no worries

    *I did a quick search on the forums, and didn't find anything about this. If there is a post somewhere buried in the 10+ pages threads, im sorry

    Yeah, the levels are a bit on the hard side for the start of the game. Ill definitely tweak them for the final game, making the curve a bit smoother.

    About the upgrades, right now, they are all available as you start. But what I want to do is make them be unlocked as you progress, giving more time for the player to get used to new abilities.
