  • Hi there,

I have a spite that is acting like a bucket of sorts. It is rectangular and starts off portrait in orientation. I can easily pin objects to this area randomly scattered around its surface *but*, if I rotate the sprite 90% clockwise that doesn't take effect when pinning. It basically pins to the previous portrait orientation which is effectively now hanging off the edges of my sprite.

Is there a way I can pin to this rectangle regardless of its rotation? Many thanks in advance.

    Nick.

  • okay I worked around it by removing the scroll to behaviours and calling scroll to object when they move instead.

  • I've managed to get something working but have one flaw with it. When I switch to the player outside of the vehicle and enable "scroll to" for it, it scrolls to it but not completely, it follows it a bit bit the character can run off screen.

  • Hi there,

So I have a sprite for the main player, i'll just describe it as a vehicle. I would like to be able to press a button and leave the vehicle behind and continue on foot, then go back to it later.

What's the best way to achieve this?

  • thanks that's much appreciated

  • I there, I have a sprite that I would like to act as a container of other objects, just for visual purposes. I'd like to create a new instance of a sprite and position it randomly in the container, x y and angle. Then pin it.

Is this possible? I added a Pin behaviour to one of the objects and attempted to pin it where it was but every object of that type pinned, rather than just one.

  • excellent thanks!

  • Hi there,

Sorry if this is a rather noobish question, so I have a basic layout with a car and a wall around the perimeter as well as some objects within the layout. 2 Questions really.

    1) Do I need a wall surrounding the perimeter or is there another way to stop the car leaving the layout.

    2) How do I stop a car from moving through things.

At current I have set it so that the car stops and its speed sets to 0, but it can just accelerate again through the object once it's wedged into it. How can I stop it passing over the object completely?

    Cheers in advance!

    Nick.
