  • C2 does provide JS execution in the Browser object, but you certainly should not use it in this case.

Can you give an example of JS execution in the browser ? (just for information).

    RTFM ^^

  • I love programming with C2. I like it so much that I started created a C2 NodeWebkit app. The app design is to compile C2 games with XWalk localling rather than XDK cloud based system. It's got a nasty overhead, but what the hell right. That's how much I like programming in C2 that I'm going to make app in it

Do you mean you're making an app builder with C2 itself ? Do you project to release it for the community ?

About XDX cloud, is it free or are there different plans like in Phonegap ?

Concerning Gamemaker, it's probably "more powerful" but the learning curve's harder than C2, and the look'n'feel probably worse (lots of icons with no text in the windows, hard to get the big picture quickly).

  • I agree for the exporters, but it's a position. I know I could have more performance with Haxe (natively or via Stencyl) or perhaps via Gamemaker. I tried the two but my hands get sticked to C2 Clickteam Fusion doesn't inspire me a lot, I tried it but a long time ago (and I used their first programs STOS and AMOS in the 90's that were great at this time ... ^^).

For now I found the quick access and the quick preview of C2 really suit my needs, ie get the hands off the code and prototype concepts quicker. If "by chance" the problem of performance arrives, that means I have a game that works, so in the worst case I could always port it (or make it port by someone).

  • Oh, sorry I didn't get the point, as I never use that tool yet.

  • Hi again,

This post will not be very original, but just want to say I'm really impressed by the event system of C2. It is very intuitive and very near to "What You Think Is What You Get" And I have only a dozen of events, the double of actions and a couple of groups... (and playing with a websocket too, and it's fun !).

Hope to get this positives vibes for a long time ^^

So "bravo" Ashley, your tool is really engaging ! And the community is ultra-reactive, almost too much Again, you've got a problem, you've got more than one solution from the users, it is really cool !

Anyway, I hope to make a real finished game out of this before, let's say... the end of the year ? ^^ (Got Blizzard deadlines style).

    Cheers.

  • Thanks for sharing.

There's a blog post about it here :

Don't know if there's been others post before on this subject, or perhaps in the manual.

  • Native language : French.

No problem to write or understand english (as far as I know ^^).

Except perhaps with Kyatric about the use of rgb() colors <img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_e_wink.gif" alt=";)" title="Wink"> We should have written in French ^^

I use a Chrome plug-in from the Word Reference website to translate words I need, directly in the browser address via the shortcut "enfr" or "fren", very useful and rapid ! http://www.wordreference.com/tools/Chro ... rtcut.aspx

  • Looks better like this. Thanks.

  • Played it on the PC of a friend, this was the rising of the PC, after the golden age of the Atari and Commodore and other Amstrad ^^

Don't play a lot but remember it was a great game with nice graphics.

Adeline Software had a link with Delphine Software (cocorico bis ^^), they where sisters. "Cruise for a corpse" by Delphine was a title that marks me, graphically speaking it was fabulous.

Crusader remids me the "Syndicate" serie, other great moment of the PC gaming...

  • Thanks Kyatric.

I won't be sad if you don't post it, if you think it's not a "frequently" question (and you know it better than me)

Just wanted to contribute to a problem I faced. Your solution is of course good in the scope of C2, but needs to manage 3 variables, what I wanted to avoid (lazyness ^^). Anyway, I found my answer searching the forum.

  • lennaerthohe.nl/TankRacer/index.html TankRacer

    Its based on socket.io.

I build this in december somewhere.

    The Battle arenas work nice.

Regular multiplayer was giving some hassle with positioning.

But since then webrtc was making its way to construct 2, so I figured I wait it out.

Tried it, but alone ^^ Will try it with a friend...

  • Here's an example why it is useful to know the color formula (where wsColor is a number value) :
