  • Interesting. Ok!

I see now there are a consistent bug with one of the player actions that I thought I did not have earlier. I wonder if it could have been caused by new versions of C2 (I haven't touched the gameplay code for more than 1 year, or even 2 years), I have tested many versions of the game. Or was I that negligent. haha.

I wish I had someone with fresh eyes and better logic to look at my game but at same not uploading it to this forum.

  • Whiteclaws interesting. So what you say the events do not wait on each other after all.

    EDIT:

I tried to add wait 0 after every suitable event but it just effed up the whole thing. Well.

  • Ok thank you all for the replies.

I wonder, the groups. I use groups but just for the cosmetic reason, to make it look better in the events page.

I do not have any runtime actions about groups. So the events inside group should simply be run top to bottom, right?

  • Ah so the events will run in succession, even with function calls with excessive loops within the "every 0.2 second" event? As long it has no "Wait"?

  • Long time no see. I am trying to refresh my memory.

If I recall it correct the events are gone through top to bottom, that is known.

But I also recall that the events will go down to next line even if the previous event line isn't finished, right?

How can I do to ensure that the events are finished before proceeding?

I am trying to tackle my beast of game now that I have some time off.. Array driven grid movement of 500-1000 characters per screen, refreshing every 0.2 second. I got bug that I *think* is that the next "round" of 0.2 second starts before the old one was finished.

In C3 I wish to have more WYSIWYG in the editor for more things including plugins. More visual approach simply.

    Love the SKUID btw!

  • I am old fashioned but I prefer the software to be proper Windows software. It should also conform to the actual theme/ui setting in Windows and not have its own (of course best is to choose, that's what I like with C2, so many to choose between.).

Ok, I despise software that go its own way and put a super dark UI for me, nooo I do not want it, I want it to look like the rest of Windows just like I have set it up! Worst are the ones with custom "cool" ui with everything picture based+ custom buttons where you have to re-learn how to cycle. But it seems to be a thing of the past - mostly. THANK GOODNESS. But some are stubborn about it, this is a software I hate to use but have to use as it is the only interface to the cutter:

Ok now that was cosmetic part.

Reason of why I do not like web software: It won't conform to standards. I feel also uneasy about working in a browser with its overhead but also for my own ADHD-ness and inability to multitask (= I can't have anything distracting for me... then concentration go its way)

I want to have a software I know how to do straight away with my super short attention span.

I guess if the "software" was without the browser visible parts it would be slightly better, but still have that "its own ui" thing which is a minus for me. Plus how would short keys work? Ctrl+S will it save the project or bring up browser's save html thing? Apparently I am not too deep into this thing, of course of course.

long loading time = nope, downloding crap every time I use = NOPE.

    My humble opinion. <img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_e_smile.gif" alt=":)" title="Smile">

I can't wait for definite answers.

  • Fantastic 3d players!

As for me, well, I do not have time to make the graphics. Yes I am stuck with the programming too, but I wanted to finish the graphics before I tackle the bugs. It is quite intense because the gameplay base on grid array and lots of loops. Every object on the grid base on each other. I have a game logic breaking bug. Plus it has some other minor bugs too, most obvious being the egg exploding chain. But then I decided I wanted to finish the base graphics first.

old version can be found here:

  • Oh the coinop story is not my game, it is just my favorite so to say. It is developed by Kamizoto if I am typing correct. I also have game underway, but I am too slow to do any progress (busy life!!) and it may not fit (?).

  • Ignatius pretty brilliant. With a good artist you can make beautiful game! I would love to see this added to the main page.

I have my own favorite CoinOp Story but it is still not finished.

  • I would also love to see the addon/plugins authors being more active in making nice documentary and built in help, and examples. If done then it would likely be more used, some plugins are quite cryptic.
