  • I am working with the new "Progress Bar" plugin available in r171 and would like to change the "default" color (dark blue) to another color. I do not see a property to do this - am I missing something? Is this possible?

    Thanks

  • Thanks for your quick reply...

  • The existing tutorials on the new "multiplayer" game functionality for C2 are "great". However - I think we would all like to see some more "game examples" of how multiplayer should be setup in the actual game based upon game type. I would love to see an example of a "simple" 2 player board game (chess or checkers) to be able to study the actual required events and necessary objects that would need to be synced between the "host" and 'peer". i am sure that there are other types of games that would be of benefit to other designers.

    Thanks

  • Hi Guys:

I am relatively new to Construct2 - but have a "programming" background. I am now retired and picked up Construct2 as sort of a hobby. It is truly a "FANTASTIC" product. I have a series of shooter games (all created using C2) with a "Historical Theme" and have created a FREE to PLAY website for all. If you have a minute give it a look:

The games were exported to HTML5 so any browser should work. I also converted a few of the titles to work on Android using C2, the Android export and then compiling the game using Intel's XDK platform. Having "the best time of my life" with this.

Would love to hear your comments.

  • I did some further research on this - turns out this may be an Android/Galaxy problem. This appears to happen with Google + and Kindle as well as other Android apps. Essentially you have to "clear the storage & cache" using the Android "App Manager". here is a link on more info:

  • Just completed my first game - exported via Crosstalk & Android and "packaged" it to work on Andriod using Intel's XDK application. Everything is working GREAT. One annoyance - when I quit my application on the Android device (Samsung Galaxy 3) - I use the devices's BACK BUTTON - this quits my app but the Android then displays the following message:

"Unfortunately XXXX has stopped." XXXX is my app name.

Does anyone know how to get rid of this message?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Regards

  • Hi - I have been struggling with getting my game to work on Android (full screen) - discovered the following post regarding "Crosstalk" (see link) and it is working for me (in terms of getting a fullscreen) play of my game. No performance issues what-so-ever and a very good GUI to compile your C2 files.

I hope this will help you guys.

  • Hi Guys:

I am trying to use the "Preview on Lan" feature of Construct2 to test my project on my Android device. I have already gone through the "excellent" tutorial on doing this (multiple times). However I am unable to get Construct2 to see the IP address of my Android device. I have searched the forums for an answer - but couldn't see one that is related to my problem. I have created a short zip file of screenshots of my issue - could someone please take a look and get back to me as to what I am doing wrong.

    Thanks so much.

BTW - I am using release 163 (licensed) of Construct 2.

  • Thanks Guys - you are great.

  • Thanks Guys - I am using Firefox 26.0. I used Firefox in my previous game - with no button problems - but I also have Firefox to "auto" update - so there could now be an issue.

BTW - Is there a "plugin" or Tutorial on how to use sprites as buttons?

    Thanks for your help.

  • Hi - I am new to Construct2. I have already completed a "side shooter" and it was a blast to build. I am working on my 2nd game - but a problem has "popped up". I am using the standard button object in C2. I import the button object and define it's characteristics without any problems. However - when i go to preview the layout with the button defined on it - the button object does not appear. I have checked all the obvious settings (object visible etc.) but nothing seems to help. I double checked to make sure there were no other objects or backgrounds on top of the button. This first occurred while working on my 2nd game which is getting complicated - so I closed C2 opened it up and started a new "test" project. I defined a layout, loaded a chessboard sprite, added a simple button and added some test TEXT. When I preview the layout - the chessboard is displayed and the TEXT is also displayed - but the button is NOT. It is probably something simple - could someone please take a look at the attached capx file and tell me what I'm doing wrong - Thanks in advance.
