  • Hi plinkie,

I thought the variable was linked to the speed at which the enemy sprite was moving. I had an almost identical setup with another project and that worked. I must be missing something really obvious here...

  • Hi,

I started a test project earlier today and can't get the enemy speed Global Variable to increase. It's supposed to increase every time an enemy is defeated, but I'm not seeing any changes. I've got this to work on an earlier project so am not sure what's happened.

  • Thanks blackhornet. No wonder it didn't work before.

  • Hi plinkie,

Thanks for pointing out the objects outside the layout. I've fixed this, but still can't get the main character to move once the layout has reset. It looks like the "wait 3 seconds" event never triggers after a reset so the rest of the events don't trigger either, but I can't work out how to change this.

  • Hi,

I've added an action so that the current layout and all associated global variables reset when the space bar is pressed, but it doesn't work properly. The score variable keeps resetting to 3 instead of 0, the main character sprite doesn't move and enemies no longer spawn.

  • Hi oosyrag,

I've tried using Set Canvas Size on start of layout, and although the canvas size changes the layout doesn't fill the viewport like I was hoping:

  • Hi,

My main layout is 360x640 but I want to include another layout that's 640x360 (or similar). The viewport size is 360x640; how do I show the 640x360 in its entirety?

  • Hi,

I'm trying to get a waterfall tiled background to scroll seamlessly, but no matter what coordinates I use it resets at the wrong time. The tile's properties and actions are below. I know the tile is seamless as I've checked; I expect I'm putting the wrong Y axis numbers in.

  • Hi,

The main layout for my game is 360x640, and the Viewport size is the same. If I wanted to create another layout with the dimensions 640x360, how do I get the entire image to display properly? I've tried Set Layout Scale but this yields some very odd results: either the image is so zoomed in you can only see a portion of it, or it's zoomed out with huge white sections around and beneath it.

  • Hi plinkie and Noah Gengo,

Thanks, resizing fixed the problem. :)

  • Hi,

I've made a font sprite to display my game's score, but once the score goes above 9 it displays only "1" instead of 11, 12, etc. Is there a way to fix this, other than creating font sprites for numbers above 9?

  • Hi oosyrag,

Apologies for the lack of detail, I was mentally exhausted at the time. I've since made a few changes and the rotation alignment is no longer an issue.
