    nice job, me and a friend of mine poked around in the map for a while. took a bit for us to get on the same 'game', but then we got and trolled around for zombie tanks...lol.

    good job on the multiplayer. you may get swamped with requests for a tutorial soon...lol.

    I was creating an on screen control for mobile devices this morning, and suddenly noticed people slaughtered all the other tanks :P

  • I dont see a edit ship button once I am in the lobby.

    The ship didnt return after load attempt, I tried removing slashes the second time, no go.

    I will try again tomorow, I liked building the components like that :)

    Hmm, I will need to rebuild a 'decent' ship .. seeing as I couldnt get the controls working right in first place, ... I build a flying canon that shot almost everything >_>

    Hi, thanks for playing ^_^

    The radar is just a small representation of the entire map, but you can hide in the corners xD as the radar dial is round and only shows positions when the dial cross's it.

    I figured the map huge yesterday already, but making half as small would require some repositioning.

    I'm making progress on a somewhat different game where I was testing the php for, which requires far less connection stress as this one, but still :)

    TanksWars game mechanics in construct itself is less then 60 events though :)

    I was just playing your game still, busy trying to get the controls to work decent to get that nebuchanezer one hehe :D

    About other methods to connect, and send data, this does work with cocoon hehe, and I am a php programmer myself with quite some mysql experience and if need be build enormous relational databases :)   its a bit of my forte, so dont want to switch ^_^

  • I disagree, somewhat.... feels like you are being a bit narcistic, comparing your own skills to that of others.

    Being able to write a few lines of code versus applying programming methodology to create an interactive component ..... are 2 worlds of differences ...

    Though, once you get the gist of general programming flow and modern day object orientated programming, you can probably handle any type of modern programming language, but applying it, thats a whole different level of "artist"

  • The increasing effect comes from you having used "up arrow is down" and "down arrow is down" I think the number then gets added every tick.

    Try using on key press and set one high value which gets applied once :)

    I can imagine it as 3 sprites.

    Basket ball, Basket Board + back half of basket net, Front side of Basket Net.

    z order:

    bottom: board

    middle: ball

    front: net

    The net should have transparency in the net holes and have an animation where it bulges a bit and back (effect of ball falling through)

    Animation should play when ball is colliding with net.

    Should be relatively simple to achieve.
