  • Hello everyone! well, this is my request, please make a better timing for the c2 engine, cause if im going to do a bullet that stop by X time, the bullet will stop in different positions every time i refresh the game. i think its because it have something to do with the fps ( i think)

i already tried with "move Xpixel * dt", Bullet behaivor, Everytick move, a invisible object and when the bullet collision with that invisible object it will stop, i think i tried everything.

    thanks!

Sounds to me your trying to do things directly after run time.

The variable factor would be your computer and what ever it is doing.

Wait till the everything is loaded, and use a click button to fire an object which stops after X time.

  • Well, didn't see this one coming:

    Indeed.

I am curious to the results of the 'Spartan' browser <img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_cool.gif" alt="8-)" title="Cool">

  • I have made several games with controllers, even a few with more controllers ... but I always had to make separate events.

You could have some groups with player actions/functions/controls disabled, and have an event for each controller which activates them.

if gamepad.0 A is pressed activate group X

if gamepad.1 A is pressed activate group Y

    or,

if gamepad.0 A is pressed, set players to 1

if gamepad.1 A is pressed, set players to 2

and use the players value as a trigger for the loops for actions/functions etc.

There's an example of finding if an object is inside a polygon here:

Events 7-9 are the relevant ones to pick the inside objects.

    Still the same

I sometimes consider myself skilled with development, but then R0j0hound pops out a wand and totally mesmerizes me with his enchanting coding skills

Thanks man, from what I can see I should be able to get this implemented

  • I am using r190.

But I think I see an issue there.

event 4, that foreach, will accept the input given on that controller for the player it currently "for eaches"

    Separate it in individual events.

    ie, actually use:

    event

    Gamepad Player.0 etc

    action

    call move down (player 0)

    event

    Gamepad Player.1 etc

    action

    call move down (player 1)

    etc

    Something like those.

You will end up with lots of single events, one for each controller action.

  • You could start by checking out the user media object, which references the use of the camera.

From there you should be able to manipulate the current pic etc.

I have not used it myself extensively, so I am not aware whatt he manipulating options are.

But if there arent any, I would imagine performing some sort of effects as an overlay over the image, and create a snapshot from that.

    also

There is a tutorial somewhere which references to uploading images to a server with PHP.

  • Ah, kewl.

Might be an idea to post your own solution if you asked for help and solved it already

    all good though

  • Have you tried adding wait(0) before changing layout ?

  • It should state that in your add suppliers management system.

  • I am not running the beta but latest stable, so I cant look.

If a state is overriding another, it would not be illogical to say that one of the inputs is addressing the wrong player object.

  • It should be doable, though, I would hazard a guess construct 2 is really not the best engine for image editing in a running app.

There are some options, but the functionality will be limited and for a new construct 2 user, very challenging.

So my advice would be: no.

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

Try Now Construct 3 users don't see these ads
  • Tried it a bit.

I use a big widescreen laptop and played it on full screen.

The menu buttons looked blurred due to them being re-sized to a bigger format to accommodate for the laptop screen, same goes for the cross hair in game.

It was a bit unclear why I lost hearts.

Some birds flew above the layout ... well ... par a few millimeters.

The game reminded me of my first game I made with construct ....

tip: let it go and start with a next project
