  • The 'observed result' screenshot - the stripes look the same as the background on some of the demos - when you set up the project in the xdk, what option did you use for the development path? I wonder if at this stage it is using one of the demo templates?

    Did you export into the right folder e.g. user/xdk/user.appname/4.0.0

    I've only just started using it myself - but it might point you in the right direction!

    I am also new to this and have been using the Intel XDK to test - any reason why you use Cocoon over Intel

  • I am struggling to get two different orientations in the same app. I have attached the two working orientations separately, but as soon as I try and implement them within the same app i have problems.

    The problem is that I am constrained by the window/layout sizes - so if I have these set up for one orientation, the layout in the other will not work (the best I have achieved is about 2/3 screen size)

    I have tried using window and layout width/height values, every conceivable permutation of window,layout size with each fullscreen setting. Any ideas?

    I do need both orientations to make the best use of the screen (so playing with 4 or less cards - portrait, more than 4 - landscape).

    Using Release 146, and publishing/testing to Intel XDK

  • Thanks Thehen - I had looked through them, I was looking more at the dimensions for the stage - sorry didn't make this clear

  • I know that there are a number of forum posts already on 'my game doesn't display properly on blah' platform as well as some tutorials - and as nearly every one of these posts say, it is a case of trial and error. However, I feel it would be fantastic if there was one place that had a collection of blank template Capx's (or whatever the plural is of a capx) that we know work for specific platforms.

    So please, if you have had success with a particular platform - would you mind building a blank Capx with the appropriate settings in it and share it here.

    That'd be grand.

  • Not sure that would work - if i clear the array at any stage then i have lost the order of the cards and this array is the only place that exists - but thanks for the brainfart

  • Could you use one sprite with 35 animation frames, then use the animation frame as the identifier - they could then be created in a loop. You could even pass the animation frame to the array.
