Thanks let me try that ...

  • I searched the tuts and forum and could not find a solution.

    Thanks for looking.

This is regarding when using the drag and drop behaviour,

I only have horizontal enabled (left and right)

so I want to change the frame of sprite depending on

which direction the sprite is moving toward.

    for example.,

if idle / dropped set to frame 0

if dragging left set frame to 1

If dragging right set frame to 2

Is there an easy method I am overlooking?

    Thanks for your help

if possible pls include a sample capx.

    much appreciated

  • yes I understand there are more pressing issues. <img src="smileys/smiley4.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

  • jayderyu

    yes even better <img src="smileys/smiley4.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

    again

all that info is useful on any tut,

    not just the capx tuts

  • Ashley

I noticed a whole lot of new capx tuts being posted, and as a beginner I really appreciate it.

    Thanks all.

    If I may offer my 2 cents <img src="smileys/smiley2.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

If there could also be a strong suggestion to include a demo in the arcade as well. ( In fact, all tuts could use a working demo, but the new capx tuts are so much less detailed, a working demo is necessary I think)

Also, sometimes there may be plugins needed to run the capx and it would be nice to see a demo before going thru that small hassle to see if you really want to download the capx.

    or

maybe the tut creator is using a Beta version and not everyone feels comfortable using a Beta version.

    Anyway,

    Just a thought.

    What do you guys think?

Maybe I'm just being too picky.

  • Nice addition, thanks. I was wondering why suddenly all these new tutorials were being placed.

  • Try Construct 3

  • Well I just tested Space Blaster on my Ipad iOS7 , yes works much much better. Thanks Ashley.

  • I just updated to iOS 7 , let me try that ... thanks

  • then try playing space blaster on a mobile device ...

it's completely unplayable (on my iPad.)

    and

this is one of Scirra 'featured' games.

People are making games for mobile devices,

I am waiting for C2 to get faster, but how many

are just moving on to the next product?

    and

if you looked at the link I provided earlier.

This is a recent topic on the forum, and just one regarding this very subject....http://www.scirra.com/forum/impossible-in-iphone_topic80572.html

do you think that guy will buy C2? probably not.

and that guy has so few particles running and still posts a negative comment about C2 calling it worthless.

I mean, these kinds of posts should be avoided at all costs, I would think.

In fact, I'd like to make the entire game with this asm.js engine actually.

  • Ashley

I was wondering if you would kindly make particles a physics behavior then. Particles are the biggest performance killer for C2

and I wonder how many customers are lost because of it?

    for example

  • Ashley, thanks for replying to this post, I am sure others were wondering the same thing.

  • Hi everybody.

I recently read about the new asm.js engine that is available, and have a question.

..Click Here for Ashley's article on asm.js

I see that the article says for physics, but is it exclusively for physics or will it speed up everything, for example particles?

    Has anyone tested this yet?

Maybe I will try to apply asm.js to the Space Blaster game to see if there is a difference.... that game is unplayable on my iPad, just too many particles. I just have to use Chrome browser it looks like.
