  • I am sorry, I will be more specific.

    I found this tutorial here and it seems good for that type of game. Basically 4 answers and depending what you answer, you get a certain result, stats change and the story continues.

    I could just go on the txt and add my own things. My questions are:

    1-In this tutorial I don't understand how it chooses the correct answer.

    2-How do I add conditions so based on the answer, instead of correct or incorrect it has: bad move -2 on health (lowers health number by 2), or: good thinking +1 intelligence, etc.

  • Hello everyone!

    Logically speaking, I could make a few buttons, and depending what the player clicks it would do different things. But I would like something more fun than that, and maybe player stats to that, that can go up or down based on the decisions.

    Does anyone know a tutorial to create a game like that, or even better a capx example? Most of the games that I have created are platformers or shooters so it would be interesting to get more imaginative with a fun story!

    I would appreciate some help, thank you for reading!

  • What I want is when the game starts, the logo screen to stay there for 6 seconds and then automatically to start playing the game.

    What happens currently is that when I start from the logo screen layout, it just automatically goes to the first layout. Am I doing something wrong?

    I tried turning global to YES before, but I didn't know how to activate it, so since I didn't want to break things even further I just turned it back to NO.

    Can't wait to work on this now as my new game!

    Then what could possibly be the problem that non of the arrays are working, since the only thing that I did was duplicate the layout?

  • Hello everyone!

    I have an array that moves and detects collisions of enemies. It works well on level 1 but on level 2 it doesn't exist on the layout objects like it does on level 1. I tried to drag it on the level but construct doesn't allow me to do that.

    My question is: How can I copy paste this array from level 1 objects to level 2, 3, 4, etc. I didn't create it myself, it was from a tutorial.

  • Hello there!

    My game works normally in general. I have an option that when you collect all the items in a level, it unlocks the door to the next stage. (visible and collisions on)

    The problem is that sometimes, when I enter a level and collect everything, the door doesn't appear for some reason. Even if character dies and recollect them, it still doesn't appear. But when I press the Backspace (restart layout button), after I collect them it works normally. This happens randomly in some levels.

    I also added a command that in start of layout-trigger once-restart layout, and it fixed it bit but still happens sometimes. It is so weird.

    Any ideas or suggestions? Thank you for reading!

  • Ok I fixed it thank you so much! This is how all my localstorage looks like and works the way I need it.

    I have one final questions if it is not a problem. If I would like to use these points to buy items for the main character, how could I do it in a way that if the main character dies, they restart the layout with the things that they have already bought in the previous ones?

    Currently when character dies, the points go to 0, which I don't mind because it adds an extra layer of difficulty so its more fun to try and stay alive until you spend your money.

    But how can I do that so that it keep the items?

  • Yeah but how about when I have also a save function in the game so you can exit the game and return to that layout in another time? How do I keep that global variable too with that save? Does it keep it too? I made the save like 6 months ago so I don't remember much about it.
