  • Hi. I tried to store some data for all win devices with "Roaming Value" from the Windows Store plugin but it does not seem to save or load data.

    https://www.scirra.com/manual/145/windows-8

When I try to get the value it always returns a blank string (""). Here is one example from my current project (Win10):

    Any ideas?

  • Hi. I tried some + and - values for db but it seems the audio volume never changes. Do I have to change volume before playing or after playing a sound file? Is this not working in Edge/Win10 exports?

  • Problem Description

When I click on the "rate" button in my Win10 universal app the store is not opened to write a review anymore.

In my old app I published a few months ago (for Win8) the rating button works (and has the same actions) -> https://www.microsoft.com/store/apps/9nblgggzqslh

(Rate button is on the about ("Ãœber") page, just click and drag to the left to move the top navigation bar)

But in my new app built with Construct r227 nothing happens. -> https://www.microsoft.com/store/apps/9nblggh4vs8v

The rate button is at the bottom (star icon).

Show store review page after touch. (but will only work after publishing it to the store)

    Observed Result

When I click on the "rate" button nothing happens.

    Expected Result

The review popup from the store should show up.

  • Hi. In my apps I encountered a problem with Sprites behind other sprites or tiled backgrounds. I use them to hide scrolling elements/text behind the logo and have usually on top and bottom a tiled background on top layer. Now the problem is if a button/sprite is behind it clicks are still recognized. So I added a check for "sprite is overlapping background" before a link is executed. But now if a big image is only a few pixels behind the background no clicks are recognized anymore. Does anyone know a good solution for this? So that the visible part of a sprite is clickable (open link/page etc.) and the invisible part behind another object is not reacting to clicks or touch.

As a small workaround to show if a link is active I added another sprite on top to show if the link can be clicked but this is not a great solution.

    Example:

    Image Clickable:

Image not Clickable (few pixels behind the tiled background on top):

  • Hi. Does anyone know a "quick fix" for this? I cant update my app and if I remove steam beta I cant open the project with the old version anymore.

I hope a new beta build with a fix is coming soon.

  • Problem Description

When trying to save a image (project file) with Browser: Invoke Download the image is shown but it replaces the entire app and you cant go back (tried enable back button in r288) and have to restart the app. And you cant rightclick>save the image (just copy).

    Steps to Reproduce Bug

    • preview in visual studio

    Observed Result

Image replaces entire app and you cant go back or save the image.

    Expected Result

image should be saved to download folder (like it is if you open it in the browser), open in a new window to let user save it or have an option to save the image and return to the app

Hi. With the latest update I get this error when I try to preview in Visual Studio:

Unhandled exception at line 5, column 2 in ms-appx://microsoft.advertising.javascript/ad.js

0x800a1391 - JavaScript runtime error: 'WinJS' is undefined

The changelog says "Windows 10 apps: now no longer depends on WinJS library, which makes apps a bit smaller and more efficient". Does this require an update to PubCenter plugin to work again? Or add WinJS back?

    Description of Capx

just export for Win10 and preview in Visual Studio

    Steps to Reproduce Bug

    • export for Win10
    • add reference for Win10 Ad SDK
    • preview in Visual Studio

    Observed Result

    App not running (error)

  • Right now I just use "Invoke Download" and it shows the image and replaces the entire app. Only Rightclick>Copy works, no back button or anything else until you restart the entire app.

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

Try Now Construct 3 users don't see these ads
  • Do you mean the animations? I think you need an extra anim for walk+shoot and jump+shoot where the char has the gun in his hands or the proper pose to hold the weapon you use.

  • As workaround I think I will just upload the images to my webserver and then open the images in a new browser window but it would be great if someone has another solution (or a fix from Scirra to allow invoke download in Win10).

  • Hi. Thanks for the update. But how did you try it before when it did not work?

I just made a test project and used this:

It works fine on preview and on mobile browser but I could not test it in Visual Studio yet cause I have no WinPhone to test it or WinTablet. So my example will not work?
