  • thanks for the help guys...it seems to work, not sure why I have to make things harder than they are...

    now im having an issue with the sound going off even when the flashing is occuring...did I place the sound Action in the wrong spot?

  • to get the every x sec to work...does it need an every tick in the beginning?

  • Is there anyway someone from here can open that capx and get it to work so I can see exactly what to do...right now everything I tried just gets horrible results....also I am not sure why the isinvisible var doesnt do the trick?

    Hey justifun....you said move subtract 1 from health down to where it has every 3 seconds.....should i put that at each state change.

    not sure what you mean by one event for the every 3 seconds..here is the capx.

  • I am having an issue with my change states for my player when he gets hit.

    Right now when he collides with something it randomly takes off hearts..it could be one or all 3...I am not sure how to make my player invincible for a small time period after collision with the enemy....

    so i added the ability to crawl underneath by pressing DOWN...

    when your hanging press DOWN and SHOOT...to drop down...

    also added this bird enemy...when he collides with the player you must

    SHOOT, to get out....press Z to shoot.

    still has some issues.

  • well i finally got it to work...it had to do with the order of my two variables....when I moved my collision variable up on the event list , things started happening.....

    I did a lot of trial and error to get it to work...

    stil not perfect.....the squirrelandbird animation starts to late...some reason it waits until they collide with the ground to start the animation...should be as soon as they collide with eachother...

    Im trying to get it to when the bird and player collide, it goes into a squirrelandbird animation of them fighting.....

    I have the bird swooping down when the player gets near him..then when he touches the ground he goes into a walk animation..

    The question is, if a sprite is in a variable state...is it not possible to interrupt it with another variable state?

    Im trying to get the bird and squirrel to wrestle when the they collide, even if the bird is doing its flying or walking...

  • Hey littlestain, so I got it to work but not sure why it works.

    Is this based on the height of the sprite in pixels.. my player is 32 by 32....and my branches is 32 by 32...i dont get what Y point this is all going by...is it any y point on the sprite? well not sure why it works...if anyone can clarify line 27...i just want to know why something works.
