  • Good day fellow brothers and sisters!

I would love to develop a real-time multiplayer game using C2 for both PC and mobile platforms in the web.

The game should be played very well on both ios Safari/Chrome and Android's Chrome. For PC's - Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge.

It wouldn't be a huge problem if the game could be run only on Chrome across all of the devices.

So the question is: Is this possible?

Me myself is not a programmer so i would find a friend to code the multiplayer and payments stuff after I make a prototype myself. So i just want to start the work while knowing that this is possible

    Thanks!

  • Hey!

I know that problem. I just remind people that they can go fullscreen by pressing F11. You can see how i made it here

  • I also had problems with audio and still have (much less).

What worked good for me (at least on web) was:

    "Browser->On suspended=set silent"

    "Browser->On resumed=set not silent"

Also set "play in background" in Audio object properties.

My games have this optimization and you can check if it works for you with my games -

    Peace

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

Try Now Construct 3 users don't see these ads
  • A little update, now with colors and you can change branch length too.

    That's cool!

Would love to make a psychedelic game with moving fractals.

Would you like to join and code some?

    (Everything is made with Construct2)

  • Thanks LittleStain

  • i will not go further in this discussion philosophically, but if you as me care about C2 and want to make it better, having a quick issue reproduction just wouldn't hurt.

Especially when reporter mentions that .capx or sound files have 95%+ of unimportancy chance here.

    Thank You

  • Please i suggest you not being that very emotional and close the case only after testing the issue. Which you actually easily can do and it wouldn't take very long

If you can not reproduce it that way - it might mean it is not a very popular bug and might have something to do with my system.

And the problem is relevant in more than one .capx if not the all i've worked on.

    Thank You!

  • If you read the tutorial offline games in Construct 2, you'll see it's possible to detect a newer version is downloading, and automatically refresh to use it.

    Hello,

i've just found out that it's not working if the game is bookmarked. It works fine if it's not bookmarked though.

    Thanks

  • Problem Description

When you delete a sound and then put a new one with the same name - the sound file remains old (the one before the new uploaded file but with the same name)

    Attach a Capx

No capx. Test on any project

    Steps to Reproduce Bug

    • Upload a sound, in example: "sound1"
    • Delete the sound
    • Rename a different sound with "sound1" and upload it to sounds folder

    Observed Result

The sound remains the previous one

    Expected Result

The sound file changes even if it has the same name

    Affected Browsers

    That's inside C2

    Operating System and Service Pack

    Windows 10

    Construct 2 Version ID

    206

  • I'm also getting this on a simple block sprite I'm using to simulate water.

    (title updated)

    This also happens on PC.

At least mine (win 8.1, Chrome)

Solution would be great or a fix in an upcoming update too! Ashley

    Thanks!

    P.S. my report -

  • Closing as duplicate of https://www.scirra.com/forum/warping-effect-degenerates-over-time_t125348. I think it's to do with the precision of floating point calculations becoming reduced as the timer value increases to high values.

    Thanks for reply ASHLEY.

In the topic you posted the reporter says that the bug appears only on mobile devices. In my case it appears on PC.

Solution would be great! Isn't there any?

    Thanks!
