  • Remarkable, thanks!!

  • Pode has casually made a 'crop image during runtime plugin' as a part of 'facial detection' plugin. It would be very nice for me and, most likely, some other developers, to be able to crop an image (loaded into a sprite) into a smaller image with an alpha channel, so that it would look round/ oval.

    Any feedback much appreciated.

  • The title speaks for itself, any help appreciated.

NOTE (!) UserMedia object works not, just because you are unable to get the video out (since Browser's 'download' does not work). I've posted a bug report on the issue, but it has been ignored (probably there are more important bugs to adress) --->

Is there any alternative way to save the video (any format) or just an alternative way to write the video? (NWjs's 'write' also does not work, since its made to write .txts)

    Thanks in advance.

  • Any progress/alternatives developed? Not particularly for IOS, but I would be very interested in one for Chromium (aka NWjs).

  • Problem Description

Browser's 'download' function does not work on NWjs, while (!) it does work in preview mode through NWjs - which is the reason I thought that it's a bug.

    Attach a Capx

Scirra's built in Canvas Recording example (unmodified)

    https://drive.google.com/file/d/0ByY-fe ... sp=sharing

    Description of Capx

Makes a bunch of particles and demonstrates canvas recording.

    Steps to Reproduce Bug

    • Try canvas recording in NWjs preview mode (it will work)
    • Compile to NWjs
    • Try canvas recording on standalone .exe (It wont work)

    Observed Result

Nothing happens. No download occurs, making canvas recording impossible for games in .exe.

    Expected Result

The same that does in NWjs preview - saving dialog, which would produce a playable webm

    Affected Browsers

    • Chrome: (YES)
    • FireFox: (NO)
    • Internet Explorer: (NO)

    Operating System and Service Pack

    Windows 10

    Construct 2 Version ID

    Release 239 (64-bit)

  • UPDATE : It doesn't work. The video saved is only 64bits of size and is corrupt.

Please help with a solution, my app is very dependent on canvas recording...

  • The NWjs is already in.

    Thank you, will try.

  • I have an app that records canvas using UserMedia. Then, you left click, and it prepares the webm for download. The last step would be to invoke the download through the browser object, BUT - It does not work when exported to NW.js (while it does work on NW.js preview, which is odd.) Please help me save the resulting webm in NWjs.AppFolder.

Conclusion 1 : NWjs's Write file does not work, instead, it makes a corrupt webm.

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

Try Now Construct 3 users don't see these ads
  • I suppose I should have been clearer *sigh*

I need the transparent object to overlap ALL other objects of it's layer and make the background (next layer after) visible.

    Pls help

  • Object in a red frame is fully transparent

If you put it over a black sprite, it's part also goes transparent and you can clearly see the background.

The idea would be to have a drag-and-dropabble glass, looking through which parts of sprites disappear (setting a sprites opacity to 0 on contact with the glass would not work at all)

    Thanks in advance.

  • Pls help

  • My vehicle needs to stop its turning (done with pressed W ---> +2 angle) when one of its corner collides with the wall.

Solid behaviour would be the easiest, but since controls are done through +- pixels forward, it does not work. Is there a way to get physics behaviour work, or any other way? Pls help
