  • Thanks for this thread. Here's my first baby with another on the way. :)

    Tickle Tum Tenors

This one is a kids activity game to help them learn to read musical notes.

  • I'm nearly finished my "hockey" game thanks to help from this forum. Just one last query. In the image, you'll see the green puck is being controlled by touch.x and touch.y. So it follows your finger when you move it around.

But...if I add a second puck for a second finger, is that going to mess up the touch values on this one? And what if a player puts their palm down on the screen?

  • Great to hear. Cheers.

Candescence I chose 1080p for this project because it's got fairly simple assets. I suppose it's a matter of balancing image quality and size in MB. But in general, I think I'll try to make the base 1080p from now on.

  • I don't have the device to test these issues so here goes....

If my layout is 1080p I assume it will scale down to a 1366x768 screen resolution without any problems.

However, if I have a compare x condition what exactly happens there? Is that resolution independent?

Finally, will a live advert look smaller on the 1080p screen than on the lower resolution one?

  • Good point. I'm only thinking about small snippets/hidden stuff (pickups/sound fx/code etc). Even then it's just to get the project done quickly...to be made unique later. I just wanted to know I wasn't going to get sued. :)

  • Excellent. Thanks!

  • It certainly seems to! Thank you! If you want, PM me your full name and I'll stick you in the credits.

  • I'm stumped on this one. I want to be able to drag the green/red pucks around and release them with touch. It's nearly there, but a little buggy. I tried Touch.Angleat() but it only seems to rotate on the 90 degrees.

The green puck usually works ok if you drag it outside the area in to the middle. But inside the area, the red dot on it always points out...no matter what direction you drag it. Maybe I'm going the wrong way about it?

I'd love to get this game out but it probably won't happen without help from you reading. Thanks.

  • Cheers for the re-direciton Dgsstan.

I'm wondering the same thing. I believe the metro plugin allows this, but I can't get it to install. I imagine it working like so:

Add a blank object with the name of your ad. This would be the "canvas" you can link your ad to.

  • Is it possible to restrict Windows 8 adverts to just one layout?
