  • Yeah, ok! I somehow managed to look right past the word "Google" on your post, haha. I think I need a new cup of coffee.

  • Hmm, ok. iPhone 5 should definitely be enough. You could try to remove objects one at a time and see what's really causing the freeze as you have managed to get it working earlier. Hope you get it running soon!

  • Did you ask me or OP? Threes! is in the US top 10 at the moment...

  • Hey wow, congrats on getting to Steam! Gotta try this out.

A quick question if you don't mind - do you know is it possible to do Steam hi scores with C2 at the moment? I'd like to try to get our next game greenlit, but it relies heavily on global leader boards.

  • How much memory does it use? What device are you trying to run it on?

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

  • Guys, you know what... if we all could just design good games FOR mobile. It is not the best platform for big, "robust" games!

To give an example, I bought Oceanhorn the day it was released. It is "robust", super pretty and runs 60fps even on iPhone 4S. The thing is, they really should've released it on consoles. I played it for an hour, then just quit and never looked back. I do not want to play big games on my phone.

Then, look at Threes! Brilliant, polished, tiny, definitely NOT "robust" and designed to be played in small bursts... a perfect game for mobile devices.

The perfomance is not always the problem.

  • Yes it is!

    Here's how I dit it:

Works fine, at least on iOS.

  • The launcher is working fine for me (iOS). As ArcadEd said, maybe you are using something that's not supported?

  • Open a game template that came with Construct called infinite jumping, that's a great sample how to do it.

  • thanks for the link, much appreciated. I can certainly see what you mean, that artist is great, but i've had a commission lined up on deviant art for some time. All i will say is that the game is going to look amazing.

I have no doubts, the way you have used placeholders clearly shows there's being some planning already. Good to know!

    Can't wait to play this.

  • This is really cool! Plays nicely and brings something new to the genre. Are you working on graphics already? What did you have in mind?

Just a suggestion, but this would look perfect with graphics styled like this: http://justinchan.tumblr.com/

Anyways, can't wait to play the full version! Nice work.

  • CocoonJS works, for small games especially. Just remember to keep your memory use low and test with all the devices you are planning to support from the beginning and you should be fine.

The market is very tough and saturated. Generally very small percent of the games make money, but as you have already started your business, you probably already knew that. You just need to stand out somehow, build some reputation and see where things go. Good luck!
