touching those random blocks (which will be invisible) sends you to a speedrun action section but, on completing that, what would commands would i use to get my guy to start of in exactly the same place he left ?

it would be great if you could show me that ... that would pretty much be the mechanics of my game :)

hmmm dunno if its the scrolling but despite using your commands they still seem to be spawning in the same area...not spread out and over the shadowy sprite

random spawns of a sprite strictly within another sprite area... ive got some success, but the objects keep spilling into the surrounding layout ..i need them in that particular area

its for a random encounter system that only happens when your in the shadows ..

The game is very retro also very deep and has a huge emotional impact

The great thing is we already have one guy on board who works/worked as a designer for the british teletext service (now thats pixel art credentials) WOW... cant believe it ..

but we need 1 top programmer because i just dont have the experience..i have the vision ..

Porting this to android ios will be pay day , as this will blow up and be a HUGE game..im looking for some backing by the Church as this game will feature alot of Bible resources and its also based on the Jonah account ..

ok, the "random" events are in the dark alleyways...after completing the platform sections i want my player to go back to the same spot...(obviously without the black square that caused the event)

this version isnt very playtested, so the platform section is extremely difficult

Juts think phantasy star 2 with platforming instead of turn based rpg sections

(im using back square with sin behaviour because im not sure how to set up some kind of random event thing)

Ok so you start in layout 1... get waylaid (which starts layout 2), you get out that situation ...but how do you return to the same position on layout 1?? (ala jrpgs)

up key =jumping animations down =crouching ect... its probably on here somewhere, i just couldnt find it ...!!!
