Small bug: the house to the left when you first enter the village: you can walk into the 'black' area - you aren't blocked at the door.

If you switch to a different layout with a separate event-sheet, the current timer code won't be running anymore.
timer is a global variable. It can be accessed from any layout.

Don't use quotes in Set text to timer.
You can only create Local variables on sub-events.

You need to try to look at my tutorial. It takes some work to get this to work properly - that's why I keep pushing you that way. There is no good reason those plugins shouldn't work. Also, the C2 install option is perfectly viable.
Click on the project itself and the Properties on the left have a "Preview browser" setting. You'll find IE is pretty useless for gaming. Chrome is the best. (I have IE 11.0.9 also, and it does work).
