  • Indeed my theory works!

I duplicated the Touch object, edited it a bit, and renamed it to TouchDetector.

i don't put a mouse to TouchDetector, and it fires as soon as i do a touch!

the rest of the game works with the standard Touch!!!

C2 is so great and flexible for diy additions!!!

  • Yes I know I can do that Ashley, but it's a lot of work and I am very lazy!

I am trying to see if I can make a duplicate of the TOUCH behaviour, and use this without mouse on the first screen only!!!!

  • i have an lcd monitor + 2 laptops with touchscreens

put them all side by side with different resolutions so i could compare :)

  • Ashley, all my artwork is in 1366 by 768. If I put the native desktop resolution to 1366 by 768 all looks fine.

If I put the desktop resolution to the best resolution supported, the game is stretched and everything looks very pixelly and the anti-aliased edges are kind of lost. the end result is very ugly.

So yes, if Awesomium can support the option of changing the desktop resolution to a specific resolution and then change it back to standard upon game exit, it will be much better.

  • lets say my game uses 1366 x 768 resolution.

lets say the player's default screen res is much larger than that.

Can Awesomium set the desktop screen display to 1366 x 768 (if supported) so that my game is not scaled up?

  • Whiteclaws what's if it's on a Windows8 Tablet or touch enabled laptop? These will become very common in 2013

  • Ashley i just want to know if the device has touch, and if so the game controls will be slightly different from mouse.

but i want mouse too, without having to do touch + mouse conditions all the time

  • ash1221 that's what i am trying to do, but the Touch object cannot be modified from layout to layout. If i disable the mouse support then i am without mouse for the whole project

  • I want to detect if there is a Touch screen when my game is run.

I can do this by putting a Touch object with touch only and no mouse.

However there seems to be no way to switch on Mouse support inside the Touch command later on, as I also want to support mouse, and having the Touch object react to mouse is very convenient.

Is there something I am missing?

  • So Webworks does not export Playbook apps?

  • so its $99 for a windows phone account and $49 for a windows 8 account, that's $148!

i like the android way of thinking where you just pay a small one time fee to register!

  • its no big deal i prefer to delete all the standard ones and put in just my own!

if i have time i will make a capx with the multitouch system
