  • I don't understand.

    Your screenshot shows that you don't have Static checkmarked. Otherwise, it would say "Local static number var = 0".

    That is why it's not working.

    But when I hit the cursor down, "var" takes the value 1.

    Therefore in the following condition:

    System var = 1 Set text "hello"

    That condition should be true, after that, the tick ends and "var" is reset to 0.

    I know that if the variable is static it is solved, but I want to understand why the text is not written when press down cursor.

  • Hi there. Double-click on the local variable to edit and make sure Static is checkmarked. It will then work.

    This will force the variable to stay at the value it was changed to, otherwise it resets back to the initial value.

    Thanks I know that solution, but when I hit the cursor down the variable "var" takes the value 1, then the text should be written, the question is why is not the text written ?.

  • Hello, please can anyone tell me why "hola" is not printed when I press the cursor down ?.

    The variable "var" is local and only retains its value in the same tick if there is no "wait" action, I do not know why the text is not printed when I press the cursor down.

  • Hi, why this condition does not work when I pulse down direction on the D-pad ?.

    The other directions (up,right,left) are also not detected in the condition

    The first condition does work and write "ok" when I press any direction on D-pad.

    In the Windows configuration the D-pad is detected correctly.

    everytime you die, you need to make a save and the when then, level is loaded it loads the last number of life saved.

    everytime you load the level you need add the function load the last datas for life, gold, magic etc

    Do you mean to save the number of lives in a separate file at the time of death and then load it when a game is loaded ?.

  • Hi, can anyone help me with this ?.

    In my game I use "save game" in certain areas of the map.

    Then, when the player loses a life or continues the game the next day, then use "load" and allows to continue playing in a certain area.

    The problem is that I do not know how to discount a life to the player since if I discount a life, then when I use "load" to continue in the last point saved, the lives are restored to that point and I get nothing.

    Perhaps this helps the explanation:

    You enter a new area of the game and you have 5 lives at that time.

    The game is saved.

    Later in that area you lose a life.

    You discount that life and now you have 4 lives.

    I charge the game to continue on the last saved item but then the lives are reset to 5 again!.

    Continuing a little on what Jayjay said I purchased C2 before the "big devs" were showcasing.

    I believed the marketing speil on the front page and thought it should delivered (hint hint, it hasn't)

    The recent push of showcase games in the last 3 years, didn't therefore intice me to buy, just motivated me to continue and defend C2, if these guys could do it, I can. (Super Ubie Land was a big one with the Wii-u promises)

    Only in the end, they couldn't, no fault of their own. Hindsight I wish it became more apparent that C2 was at fault largely and not outside reasons. It's have saved me the last few years of time on 2 mobile games that failed to export with well enough performance and 2 "PC" games that barely run on mid-range PCs. (Yes optimized to the hilt, lowered the scope to bare minimum)

    Every attempt to jump to a different engine has bounced me back to C2 because of "ease of use", but its a ridiculous situation because my time is ultimately wasted in C2.

    Think I'll end up using the first year of C3 just to be able to export my 2 mobile games efficiently and jump ship to Fusion 3. Following the devblog, looking real promising.

    Can I see those PC games in a video or can they be downloaded ?. I'm making a PC game and I'd like to see if NWjs will work fine. I have investigated some games like pinkman and according to the critics of steam it seems that NWjs works well. There are no problems or criticisms about that.

    The paste action will draw the selected object onto the canvas wherever it overlaps the paster object.

    So just position the object any way you want before pasting it.

  • Hi, please, I do not quite understand how I should paste an object onto the canvas.

    I'm using "paste object" but only a box appears and I have to choose the object, it does not allow me to choose which frame and which animation of that object I want to paste on the canvas and also does not allow me to choose the X and Y coordinate where I want to paste the Object inside the canvas.

    My question is: how do I select the X and Y coordinate and the animation frame I want to paste onto the canvas?

    Please correct me if I am wrong, is this the procedure to paste an object that does not exist ?:

    1 - Create the object and place it in the coodenadas you want.

    2 - Choose your animation and the frame you want to paste.

    3 - Use "paste object"

    4 - Destroy the object.
