  • I purchased Construct2 awhile ago, and completely up'd my PC and now I can't seem to find my license or a way to retrieve it... It's been probably a year and I have my email set to delete any email that is older than 3 months.

    Help?..

  • I'm currently thinking of porting over my Javascript Mode7 engine to Construct, now will construct handle this plugin or am I wasting my time?

How Mode7 will work, like Final Fantasy you basically have a Background and since the water was animated I'm assuming that there was a good 3-4 bg files than the land mask covered the water background.

Or if you just want it clean you just need 1 background + a foreground.

  • He may mean long games, I don't really see 40+ hr games being played on the web, not saying it can't be done but you may lose your saves because of cookies or it simply doesn't load your save as apposed to someone else's.

  • I'm not that good with Javascript but at least it uses something I'm familiar with.

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

Try Now Construct 3 users don't see these ads
  • I see Construct Classic(1.0) was released lately so it's either finished or at a good stable release.

The only question I have for construct 2 is, will I be able to program in Python or Lua? I am used to actually writing code but would love to use Construct's Editor. The main reason why I want to program is because I plan on developing an RPG with Construct and it's much easier to write a script that handles dialog than to use an event system, I did see an example but it's just not plausible on the large scale, coding was still better in my opinion and that's why I stuck with Game Maker so long and still am if I can't program in construct yet.

  • I have both PC and Mac workstations I can tell you I 100% think mac is better than windows in many areas, and windows better in other areas such as gaming. But Microsoft does not need to bloat the price of Windows because c'mon windows is not worth $400, there should be 1 set version for $130 or even $99. The only reason why Mac OS X is at $30 because at this point it's just new features added, supports the latest apple approved gpus which are the latest from AMD I believe it's 6X now, and uses intel as I honestly can't stand amd cpu's but love there gpus :p

I don't like windows but I use it for game creation and that's about it, everything else I'm on either using mac or arch linux(the best flavor of linux).

If you guys went with OpenGL you could target windows, mac, and linux users as all OSs support OpenGL.
