  • I have a special request. As of now C2 allows you to set an event as {Mouse->Left Button Clicked->On Object}.

But {Mouse-> Right Button clicked} does not allow you to select an object.

Is there any way that can be included or a simple plugin created that will allow that function/capability?

  • I don't have enoug Rep to PM you so here is the error code:

    <img src="http://www.mypwn.com/construct2/error.png" border="0" />

  • Seems to be the trend example these days...not that I'm complaining at all mind you. I definitely plan to have a facebook version as well.

But alas, I was out-voted in the poll.

  • I followed the instructions on your page step by step. I even had to create the behaviors folder, as there wasn't one included with the default files with r58. Then I unpacked the contents of your zip into that folder. I still got the error code. I will take a screenshot when I get home and PM it to you. It indicates an error line.

Just out of curiosity. I notice this was a caproj file. Do you have it on a capx? I have had no issues with capx files yet. (knock on wood)

  • I probably already know the answer to this but...I downloaded the capx and tried opening it and got all sorts of error codes regarding Behavior type uses unknown ID in event file such and such.

I am assuming this may be because there are 100+ events and I am using the free version r58.

Is anyone with the full version running into the same issue though? Or do I have to install the path finder behavior in order to run this capx?

  • Does the enemy fire back? Maybe not necessarily at the howitzer, but at your troops?

On IE9 the rounds fire out a 1/2 second late. Not sure if that's intentional or not.

Aside from that, awesome game. Ditto on the graphics. And, I too, kept trying to hit the Pegasus'.

  • Something like this could be extremely useful considering how much Adobe Flash has been utilized for designing flash websites. Just thinking of the possibilities. C2 could essentially be used to design entire dynamic websites just as flash has been used to do so if one were so inclined...

  • A bit of advice, creating a social gaming website "from scratch" is a hefty challenge. I advise to start with AVArcade or ArcademPro as a structure and then simply modify the css and such to suit your needs.

I can't remember what it was called but at one time I had the script for a php/mysql arcade that had a setup where you could easily iframe a game from another website or use xd controls to implant a game into your site. I managed to get it to let people play Runescape and Poptropica on my site.

If I can remember the name of the script I'll PM it to you.

  • Really? Sweet. That I did not know. I was aware GM was made in Delphi (because I've hacked the crap out of it)     <img src="smileys/smiley23.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

Try Now Construct 3 users don't see these ads
  • I know I'm new here, but I'm going to throw in my two cents anyway.

Aside from yourself personally, what types of games do most people play?

Think on it. Do most people spend time playing $5.99 downloaded games on an ipad or psp? Or do most people play games on the web? Here's a relative example: Do most people listen to the radio and put up with the ads or do most go out of their way to pay for XM satellite radio?

First off...to play games on a droid, ipad or psp you have to actually have one. You have to go out and spend $200+.

But web based games require a computer (which essentially everyone has or can get access to) and an internet connection.

If there is any question as to whether people play web based games, I can pretty much guarantee more people have played Mafia Wars, Farmville, Castle Age and the other countless web based time wasters than all of those downloadable apps for different systems...especially since they are free to play.

    So, take your pick.

I, for one, am like the vast majority. I like free entertainment. And if I do pay for a game it will likely be the newest Zelda or Final Fantasy game...probably not an indie developed app without viral features.

And that is why, in my opinion, that despite the new, cool gadgets released every 2 minutes, the internet will always be a viable contender.
