  • Hello, I have a problem I do not understand how to add or even edit the text of a line with the List Box object. I created a menu for a game that allows me to save the game by creating a file in a folder "Save". This works, but I wish at the same time I create the backup file, add a line that reads the name of the backup that you wrote. When I click the submit button backup, the backup file is created but the line of the list box does not change. It remains empty.

  • Hello, I'm french (excuse my English so) I have a concern, I am creating a game and I see the RAM from my computer without going through the debug construct by ctrl alt delete to open the process window during my computer. I discovered that my game by 1 GB of RAM and more than that number increased with time very slowly.

    I find the source of my problem was a plasma effect and the many images of my character animation.

    So I tried to solve this problem as follows: load every millisecond, the images of the movie but from a folder on my computer this time.

    Therefore: my ram is about 100 MB, but the problem is that like every millisecond I load a texture, it will list in the RAM, I seek to load the texture, then to "unload". But I have not seen such a function in construction.

    I calculate that after a day of play with 30 characters like this, would my RAM to 8 GB theory. About 66 KB every 20 seconds are added to my RAM.

    The question is: how to unload a texture of an object ? For application consumes a lot of RAM because of this over time.

  • yes but it is precisely because the RPG just wonder a lot of work I am trying to assemble a team with someone who would know something about Python to share the tasks. I know the multiplayer is far from being something easy to make, but seeing the template available (I can not seem to do besides walk to connect) I thought that it might be possible to connect two players each controlling an object as the basic idea. As in the multiplayer pong, except that instead of having the bars were the characters.

    It would be possible to connect two players each with an object under its control and without it being very difficult with construct ?

  • Hello, i try to make a thing very difficult for me in construct. I create a rpg and i use animations of wow caracters . For exemple , walk, run, swim, jump ... But i have a problem. This animation take a lot of memory and if my caracter take a sword for exemple, i wouldn't like that i have to re-import all the previous animation with this sword. i would like create an object sword who follow the arm movement of my caracter, it's possible ? Because i have seen the behavior Bone, but i have tryed and i don't understand this fonctionnality.

  • Hello, I'm french and i've started a project on construct two weeks ago. i don't really understand the tutoriel for Multiplayer game with Podsixnet because i don't understand very well the english language and i have no time to spend for this, having the rpg game solo to make !

    So i search somebody who should want to help me to make my game multiplayer and of course who know the python language because its Only by this way that the multiplayer mod is possible.

    My project is a MMORPG ( rpg only for the moment) based on a fantastic medieval univers immagined by me. Very similar, in the spirit, to the lord of the ring. Your caracter will be very free, most of actions will be possibles as the wow systeme emote. The caracters are the wow caracters. But exept the caracter, all the graphic will be paint by me.

    I hope that my english is not too useless !
