Programming has been a lifelong interest.

Maxis' "Klik n Play" was the first game creation program I had the pleasure of using and by logical progression I came to use Construct.

If you're including the file and you're still getting the error then the second part of my answer probably applies.

Windows explorer says that the python26.dll in construct's folder is version 2.6.2150.1013. Put that dll in the same folder as your exported exe and it should work.

Edit: It isn't necessary to pm me with a duplicate of what you posted here.

If you're still having issues you can find solutions yourself by doing small changes over an working install of CC. That way you can isolate what changes introduce the problems and go from there.

That error means StringIO.pyc can't be found/loaded. When exporting, python files are pulled from the .\data\python folder and put inside the exe. If the file can't be found then it can't be included. Another idea is .pyc files are compiled python scripts which only work for one version of python, so if the versions are different the pyc file can't be used. If that's the case then use the python26.dll that's in construct's install folder, that's the dll that's used in previewing.

I added polygon filling to the first example and implemented a pressure based softbody from the paper here:

I found a paper explaining a way to improve the simulation by using a pressure force instead of a spring force to a center. It looks like it will help with the edges getting tangled.

Here's an way of doing one soft body.

I did it with the physics behavior and implementing springs from a center to the edge points, and springs from point to point around the body.

For graphics you could hide the center and edge points and use the canvas plugin to draw a filled polygon through the edge points.

Per pixel collision detection is a must for such a game, but since C2 doesn't have per-pixel collisions you'll have to implement it manually.

Here I used an array to store the pixel collision data and the canvas plugin to do the visual portion.

"Is overlapping" has a built-in "for each". It was the same in CC, although "overlapping at offset" just was a filter.

If "Is overlapping" was just a filter your conditions would look like this:

p_det | carrying=0

p_pickup | is overlapping o_carrot

for each o_carrot

System | pick a random o_carrot instance

"win32api" is a python library that is included in resolutions.zip that I first posted. When I updated the cap I didn't re-include the python files.

Download the zip then download the updated cap and it should work.
