  • It'd be neat if I could have it ease in and out of the movement with varying speed, but I have no idea where to start with programming that.

If I understand you correctly, you can make the layout zoom in and out easily which can increase or decrease the viewable area... if that's what you mean by ease in and out.

If you mean ease the speed up and down, I would use a "floating" camera object similar to what I have used in my current demo of Tonks. The camera lazily follows the object giving a sort of "lag and catch up" effect. This can be done easily using some timedelta. I can't remember the exact formula off hand but I can check for you if you want.

  • There is a third party driver program to run the 360 controller in XP. If you use Vista, the deadzone issue is resolved... however on XP you need the third party driver.

I can't remember what it is off-hand, but I'll go have a look on my other computer and report back here a bit later with a link.

Nevermind... I just had an appiphony

  • Hmm yeah this could be a cool plugin for making windoed games with a specialised "window" style, rather than being limited to the standard Windows GUI interface design.

I would be keen on someone making this... now, where did lucid go?

  • 57) This is an important one: I currently use two canvas objects for some post processing effects for Sein. The problem is that those canvas objects don't dynamically scale based on the resolution of the application, so if you set the app to any other resolution, the canvas object will just stay in place.

So it'd be cool if we could have a 'fill layout' option, so that if that checkbox is marked in an object, Construct automatically sets the resolution of that object to the resolution of the project / layout.

I also need this for tiled backgrounds. I often times just slap a single color on top of everything and use blending modes to push the colors into the right direction.

The canvas issue can be solved by having:

    +Start of layout
    -Canvas width = layoutwidth
    -Canvas height = layoutheight
    [/code:2du6na9u]

Pretty sure you can so the same with tiled backgrounds too.
