I agree it would be a lot more work for you to initially maintaine ports since the engine is still undergoing quite some work.

Running through an emulator is nice since it would have it working, but it will be slow, upset a lot of people, will get more people to bug you to do a native one, etc etc.

Hi all i am creating a program to enable to you to easily create smilies (aka emoticons) and the only image plugin is the "Image Manipulator" and there is no option to allow users a dialog to select an image to load into it, you have to ad the image in the event editor <img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" title="Sad" />

No offense but saying it works in wine is not a valid reason not to work on it.

Wine is a lot slower than native for obvious reasons, it is ugly when using, crashes frequently, wine updates can easily break compatiblity with construct etc etc.

Such a big pitty as there are only a few reasons why i don't use Linux full time, things such as this being one of them <img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" title="Sad" />.

i dont get it how can sdl replace directx, when directx is basicaly the runtime engine for displaying everything :S
