Newt's right, file size of the image wont have any noticeable impact on performance at all. All it does is mean the game will load faster. 256 colour PNGs (AKA PNG8) usually will come out very small in file size as Construct 2 uses PNGOut.
Filesize is an important consideration if making a game for mobiles for example as they are usually on much slower networks than you would find on a PC.
I didn't ask for a response to each and every point I mentioned, just a "Ok, we saw the list, some interesting things there. Thanks" or something like that :)
Don't worry, between us we read just about every post in these forums, they will be read! All suggestions are appreciated :) We just don't always have time to reply to every thread.
It should be working OK now, I've rejected any games in queue (lots of duplicates) if people could upload them again.
Sorry for the problems, I've found the issue and will be uploading a fix soon.
Good riddance IE6!
We're lucky on Scirra, over the last 1m page views or so only 7.8% of our traffic is IE, and of that 7.8% only 2.41% use IE6. That's around 300 visits in over 160,000 visits.
80% of our traffic is Chrome or FireFox.
We're aware that it does make it restrictive, but this is fairly new territory (hosting 3rd party JS) so we want to make sure that all the games are as safe as possible.
I'll be adding a list of supported behaviours plugins on the next upload.
