Hi, I'm Benches. I've been working with Construct 2 for a while now and I think it's time I started work on a "proper" game. This is a 2D version of Splatoon that will eventually support 1v1 online multiplayer. Currently it is only a tech preview but I think it has a future :)

  • The 3rd and 4th ones I were already planning on doing, but thanks for the first two, I'll take those on board :)

  • Seems like it could be promising, and I like the Cave Story-inspired player sprite, but I've got some suggestions.

    1. Change it so when you're a squid, you shoot off falling particles that change in rate depending on how fast you're going. This way it both looks better and adds the stealth element from the real game.

    2. Change aiming to be mouse-based rather than depending on which way you're pointing. Along with this, change controls to be WASD based

    3. Make being a squid faster and/or being a kid slower to match Splatoon better.

    4. Fix some of the minor bugs it has, but that's obvious.
