This is a test of 3D graphics using 2D sprites. The object models were created using Blender.

Use WASD to fly around and spacebar to land. You can adjust the camera position using numpad 1-3, the FOV using numpad 4-6 and the camera angle using numpad 7-9. You can also switch to a desert environment by pressing F.

  • Hello, this is amazing, I was convinced it's a real 3D except that the sprites stay faced at the same side. I'm in the process of making my own game, and I was thinking about the ways I can present a desert exploration (sic!), and this visualization is almost exactly what I was imagining. It looks absolutely like it is already in my game. I want to ask you some guides, I don't need the source code but maybe some links with info how to do it. Thank you very much, I registered here just to write this!

    • I think i know, He made the model then in blender did the option where animations are just tons of photos, then he made it where they would cycle through when using wasd. and the ground is just a huge plane with trees and rocks that regenerate new world, like minecraft when playing on an infinite world, except in stead of dirt blocks and villages, its a flat surface with trees and rocks on it.

    • its simple. all you have to to it convert the transflunger to the zyptogologyn corrosive metard and take the Retro Encabulator device and use six hydrocoptic marzel vanes and an ambifacient to prevent unwanted side fumbling. got it?
