[WARNING!] This game is quite difficult!
Neutron Star is a two-dimensional bullet hell shooter. You will have to dodge and weave your way through a screen filled with bullets and projectiles, while destroying the enemy ships.
Three characters are available for you to select, all with different attributes and abilities.
-Light Interceptor "Spectre": This ship is focused on speed, being the fastest of the three. It also has two special abilities, a warp drive which allows it to dash forwards a small distance to dodge enemy fire. It is also equipped with a plasma energy ball launcher, which can be used both as a speed boost from the recoil and as a weapon, as the plasma ball shoots energy particles into nearby enemies, as well as exploding violently on impact. It's main cannon is a 9 shot shotgun with high spread but low accuracy, meaning you have to get close in order to maximise damage. However, when close, it has the highest DPM (damage per minute) of the three. While this ship is the fastest, it has very low durability, having the lowest health of the three by far. As such, this ship is recommended for experienced players only.
-Medium Starfighter "Regalia": This ship is an all rounder, not being the best in any category but also not having any major weaknesses. It is nimble enough to dodge most attacks, has decent weaponry, and good durability. It is equipped with momentum based mines which deal devastating damage upon impact, as well as quick firing missiles with area damage. It's main cannon is a three shot burst machine gun which has good accuracy and good DPM. It's all rounded nature and ease of control and weapon use means this ship is an excellent choice for beginners as well as players of any experience level.
-Heavy Destroyer "Princess Arya IV": This ship is focused on durability and raw weapon power. It has an energy shield which can block most attacks apart from swordships. This shield is also regenerative, meaning when it is damaged it slowly regains durability. This ship is also equipped with a chargeable heavy laser beam cannon. This cannon has two firing stages, a lower and higher powered beam. The main cannon is a plasma Gatling gun which has a fast rate of fire but will overheat if fired continuously for too long. This ship can be quite complex to master and is recommended for players with at least moderate experience.
