  • could you possibly explain how i would go about doing this? sorry to be so blonde haha

  • Thank you

How do i keep it within the bounds of the screen?

    the screen size is 1280 x 720

  • How do i make and object move randomly around the screen?

The object will constantly move around the screen until the game ends

The object isn't to jump from one place to another, it is meant to move like a bullet but constantly in random directions..

    Thank you

  • Hi guys, great to be a part of the Scirra community, and great to see so many people getting involved in the creation of games. It's amazing to see the diversity throughout this community and the new ideas that people have.

I haven't been a member for long, but I love it already! I've finished my first android game which I posted in a previous link. If you have a minute to download, check it out and leave feedback (hope i'm not pushing my luck now ) then that would mean so much to me!

Hope to continue making games and sharing them with you as well as seeing what the rest of you have to offer

If you aren't able to use the URL then just search 'zikdot' within GooglePlay Sore, it will come up with a game called 'TapIt'

    Thanks guys!!!!!!!!

  • You can use the array tool to create several types of objects but every x seconds it will generate one of the objects not two so they wont overlap. watch this video for an idea of what i mean....

  • Awesome Job!!!!!!!!

I just finished my first game. It's a lot more basic, but still good fun.

    Game Link: play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.zikdotapps.tapit

(if the link doesn't work, type 'zikdot' into GooglePlay search area and it will come up with a game called 'TapIt')

Its a hand-eye coordination game! Let me know what you think

  • Was a fun game

I finished my first game as well. Check it out if you have a minute

  • Installed size. But if you download the game you will see it's a very basic, simple game with little graphics. So i'm confused as to why it's so large. I've downloaded games much more complex than mine and they are only 10mb....

  • I built it in intel xdk using the crosswalk platform for android. initially i uploaded just the arm.apk to GooglePlay and downloaded it on my samsungS3 and the game was 19mb. Then after doing some updates to the game I uploaded the new APK's and decided to put both the arm.apk and x86.apk on GooglePlay. When i updated the game on my samsungS3 it was approx 41mb.

  • Why is my game so large. When i added it to the GooglePlay store if i uploaded just the arm.apk it was around 19mb and with the x86.apk

it came to around 41mb. But even with just the single arm.apk it should'nt be so large

If you type 'zikdot' inside GooglePlay store you'll find it. The games called 'tapit'

The game consists of 7 project sheets. The screen size is 1280 x 715 on all 7 sheets. The background images were made in illustrator

with dimesntions of 1280 x 715 and 72 DPi so the memory size of the images aren't large either.

when i look inside the project folders outside of the software through my desktop they dont seem to add up to more than 3mb so where is this size coming from???

    Thank you

  • It should only be 19mb. I also realised its a lot. Any ideas why? The images I made for the background were done in illustrator and made to the same dimensions as the screen. When going through the files I couldn't find any large files
