  • I'm not sure whether this is construct 2's fault, or my computer, but when I open any .capx with construct 2, a thing pops up and says "Catastrophic Failure" If anyone has any answers, please post because i really need help. Thank you very much.

    If it was anything to do with C2 then we would likely have seen thousands of reports, which we haven't. So the likelihood is that something has gone wrong on your PC.

    When did this problem first occur?

    Did C2 previously work OK?

    Try reinstalling the latest stable release (from the foot of this form) and just launching C2 by itself. Did it work?

    What OS are you using?

    Are there any other error messages?

    Have you recently had any browser or OS updates?

    Have you installed anything recently?

    If you read the whole thread, you will see that the previous few posts above yours includes a post from Lordshiva1948 who has kindly made the files available via his Dropbox.

    Just click on the Dropbox link in his signature.

    Any post in this section MUST follow the Bug Report Requirements in order for them to be investigated.

    Have you tried 'File/Preferences/Reset dialogs' ?

  • Your .capx includes non-standard addons.

    It may be best to either remove them (if possible) or guide users to where the addons can be found. Otherwise getting help might be problematic.

  • Multi-touch is covered in the Touch plugin section of the Manual.

    Hi I don't know if this is the right place for this but something I really miss in construct that is in many IDEs is go to function definition. It would be really great if I could just right click on a function call and choose the option to go right to where that function is laid out.

    If so, and considering the .capx is no longer available from the poster, I can provide a link to the .capx from my DropBox HERE.

    R0J0hounds link should still be valid for the Canvas or alternatively his Paster addon. Both should work to do a split screen.

    IF not, TAG him (he's on regularly) and he will update his links.

    Please be aware of where you are posting.

    This thread is nearly 6 years old and the original poster hasn't been on here for over 3 years (check user profile), so it's doubtful he will be updating any download links.

    If any other user has a link then they may be able to help, but it is a very old plugin.
