  • After installing Win 7 Pro, and all the latest drivers and service packs, this effect of missing textures (or whatever it is) has appeared for me.

As yet, I haven't found a resolution, but as the functionality isn't impaired, it's not such a big deal.

  • That was my first tutorial - glad it helped :)

Interestingly, I originally had the 'for each' condition but took it out after Ashley said I didn't need it, because the family inherrently used the for-each condition when checking.

  • If possible, post your .capx and we can all test it out for you and see what FPS we get.

  • Many, many thanks, guys. This is more than appreciated.

I'm more excited about this than about new C2 builds :)

Just a quick update to say it's working great upto now on my newly built Win7 PC :)

  • I'll have a fiver on April 1st :)

  • I admire all of your debating skills, guys, but I doubt if they will alter Qwary's opinion - it's obviously deeply rooted.

But he is entitled to his own opinion, so I say leave him with it.

Personally, I am happy to wait for the next release, and hang my head because I am too damn lazy to teach myself C++ in order to help :(

My continuing thanks to you all.

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

  • It's is also extremely costly if you wish to sell your creation.

Look at THIS page and you'll see that you will need a license that will cost from US$99 up to a staggering US$1499 A YEAR!

Also, look at the games that have been created and IMO C2's Arcade already has much better quality and diversity.

  • This post HERE from Yann has an example .capx that might be similar to what you're looking for, or at least point you in the right direction.

  • I have Kaspersky and have never had any such messages in all the time I've used this software. I suggest you look to your own PC rather than making baseless accusations.

  • The generated code is usually obfuscated (minifer), so it is very difficult to edit it using Notepad.   The way to edit a game is have access to the original .capx and use the (c++ created) editor.

  • That looks a lot like a conveyor belt, and THIS THREAD has a good solution that may be of use.

  • Those options are for Construct Classic.

  • A quick and simple way is to use the bullet behavior.

The Bullet behavior includes options for bouncing off objects, so give the ball the bullet behavior and when the ball collides with an object - walls, paddle, bricks etc - then bounce off. The behavior will take care of the movement for you.

HERE is a quick example to get you started.

  • I'm pretty sure telling people to hack a program using a resource editor is likely to be frowned upon.
