  • Hi,

    So, ok, I'm making shooting game, there 2 players fight each other.

    Is this possible to make split screen?

    Check this, please -

  • might want to make this a separate thread or a request on the feature tracker

    This feature is very easy to implement, so, I suppose, someday developers consider to develop this without reminder.

  • blankedt, can you reproduce this bug in your system (I mean from scratch, with your own .cap)?

  • systemofrm, your effects are similar to that, created by BluffTitler - very impressive! Thank you for your work, suppose, we'll see much more of your art-work computer graphics in future!

  • Direct-X DLL's couldn't cause it, better to post a .cap of the problem.

    A .cap file and a video example - http://rapidshare.com/files/271402184/Mad_car_behavior.7z. They were written from scratch, so - simple sprites (just to show behavior).

    Can anybody report the behavior of this .cap file (without changing something)?

  • Just found this generator of caustics. Creates a tileable animated caustics texture.

    http://www.dualheights.se/caustics/

    Go nuts!

    Thank you, very nice in action!

  • blankedt, I use ver. 0.99.42. The problem still remains. Maybe the source of problem is my hacky DirectX? I used two .dlls, needed by Construct - xapofx1_1.dll, d3dx9_39.dll and full DirectX Redistributable from March 2008.

    Must check everything twice before posting a .cap or a video file.

  • Try Construct 3

    Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

    Try Now Construct 3 users don't see these ads
  • AshyRaccoon, yes, but you should have a .cap file for this. So...my method for those, who don't know about Construct and haven't got a source file. Nothing more.

    Changing text in application during runtime is possible, so believe there is a way to change an icon.

  • Daiz, you can join several .exe's into one .exe. Then you can distribute a single file. The main problem - you must write the tasks (=code) for doing something that you want (and be familiar with some kind of scripting). Try AutoIt (free), vTask (shareware, but really powerfull) or xStarter (shareware for all, but for Russian speaking people - free ).

    By the way, tasks can be very complicated (it depends ONLY on your skill). In case you familiar with Russian - I can post one more nice prog for automation, which has some underground features (written by real cracker from my country).

    P.S. maybe I misunderstand, but do you want to use Construct as automation script? Or as automation shell for end-user? What exactly you would like to automate (file operations, scores, inputs, patching...)?

  • Ahh.. I want to be a time traveler just to use Construct 2.0

    Every new build = 1 month or so, the way from 0.99.5 up to 1.00 may cost almost half a year. Then...from 1.00 to 2.00 may cost the whole life...

  • Well, it will be the hell... Almost small poem.

    No movie, but graphic tutorial.

    Step 1. Download this program (should pay ~ 500 euros for it). Joke, it's free.

    <img src="http://i27.tinypic.com/r05l4o.jpg">

    Step 2. Open relevant progs or games in it. You should see something like this. Select Icon Group, then MAINICON. Like I did:

    <img src="http://i28.tinypic.com/10r2suw.jpg">

    Step 3. Do this step, please.

    <img src="http://i29.tinypic.com/30d8jlk.jpg">

    Step 4. Select "open file with icon", select an .ico file -> press ok -> press replace.

    <img src="http://i26.tinypic.com/2dh91lx.jpg">

    Step 5. Everything should be o'kay.

    <img src="http://i27.tinypic.com/izm0et.jpg">

    Step 6 (the last step to simple cracking ). Save it.

    P.S. I can't still replace the icon inside window during gaming, but working under investigation. Thank you for your attention!

  • I'm currently building an automation application, and for that purpose it is pretty much necessary that I can use the program via command line, basically by doing something like this:

    application.exe -i input -o output[/code:2xlzfwyi]
    However, no kind of functionality exists to read commandline switches, which is why I request this could be implemented in some form.

    Maybe, AutoIt can help?

  • blankedt, well...it works. ) - it can move back after one key pressing - with the same speed. I supposed, that built-in behaviors of moving back and moving forward should be similar or the same. In Construct - no. Why??? Is this bug?

  • lucid, thanks, but I know about a project bar.

    What I would like to see in detail:

    • the possibility to organize objects in folders (as it done in a Project Bar) OR dragging objects from a Project Bar.
  • Can I change the icon in the construct? (Which is in the window)

    Thank you!

    If you would like to change the icon of the prog or game, created by Contruct - it's possible. Do you want the movie, showing this?
