  • Just to confirm, "Apps can be android or html5 apps. They must be published to the amazon Appstore to qualify."

  • thunkdev22 have emailed Amazon to find out for sure but I believe just Android.

  • [quote:1yithxqc]Just don't expect any help from Scirra apparently.

Sorry, posted this message Friday, unlike the earlier days we tend to not work weekends any more.

  • [quote:139dhevd]Is there anything we need to know about amazon app publishing?

We recommend watching the 2 videos which will help with the process:

    https://www.scirra.com/blog/157/build-a-game-challenge

Shouldn't be any problems as far as we're aware!

[quote:139dhevd]Soo I publish an app there and then I write you a mail, or how is the contest settled?

You have to fill out the form here:

    https://amazon1.qualtrics.com/SE/?SID=S ... xZGGqIaRMx

Once you've uploaded your apps. Please allow ~2 weeks to receive your vouchers after the contest closing date.

[quote:139dhevd]Can you spend the vouchers on C2 licenses?

Absolutely! You can spend them on anything in our store!

[quote:139dhevd]So is this a contest where only X people win or does EVERYONE who submits a game get the price? o.O

Everyone can win, no fixed number of prizes <img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_e_smile.gif" alt=":)" title="Smile">

  • By submitting your games to Amazon Appstore via our recently announced Build a Game Challenge you can earn up to $100 USD Scirra store vouchers!

If you have any questions about this challenge, feel free to ask them here.

    Can Free Edition users enter?

YES! The export to Amazon Appstore has been enabled in the free edition so you are welcome to enter this challenge and earn your vouchers! (Could be a great way to get $100 off a Personal Edition license!)

Do games need to be new?

NO! App simply need to be published to the Amazon Appstore between Feb 24th and 1st April. They don’t need to build net new games. You can take your existing Android games which you've published to Google Play Store or elsewhere and export them to the Amazon Appstore for this challenge.

Can I submit apps already submitted to Appstore outside that date range?

No, you can’t submit apps you already published to the Amazon appstore last year to the survey.

When do I get my vouchers?

Give a couple weeks after April 1st (closing date) for delivery to be arranged.

  • One purchase per server, amount of game doesn't matter

  • Hi,

You can make any content you want in Construct 2 (as long as it's legal of course). We do not control or restrict what people make, what you make is your business.

However, all royalty free assets (including those bundled within Construct 2 and those sold in our store) are distributed under this license:

    https://www.scirra.com/store/licensing

    Please see section C.2:

[quote:4ri8kte4]Licensee shall not use the Licensed Content in a pornographic or defamatory manner, whether directly or in context or juxtaposition with other materials.

You'll need a Personal Edition license as soon as you take donations or make any other associated revenue from your creations.

  • Can confirm I get the security message when I download as well. Looks like a false positive. Will talk to Ashley about this.

  • Still in development, just been absolutely swamped by stuff coming back from Christmas.

  • The main reason we announced C3 now is to give everyone a heads up as to why C2 updates will be less regular than everyone expects. We'd rather prepare people for this than just slow them down without any explanation.
