  • Hi Gecko,

That's the eventual aim, to have it export to multi platform! Construct 2 is being designed with this feature strongly in mind.

However, we are initially developing to export to HTML5 at first, this is because it reaches the largest audience/supported platforms, and is an exciting new emerging technology!

  • When you register you are given 100 rep from the go, so 200 would mean ~50 forum posts, or 10 upvotes on a comment you leave, or 1 tutorial submission. It wouldn't take someone long to reach, although 150 might be better.

  • 5. Resident Evil

The first game to ever scare me. (Yes, I know it's cheesy as hell but back in the day this game was groundbreaking.)

    4. Super Mario Bros.

I played the hell out of this back in the day, and hell I still pull it out and play it every once in a while. And it's success pretty much launched the platform game genre, which overall is my favorite genre.

    3. Metroid

    So awesome.

    2. The Legend of Zelda

It was a tossup between this, A Link to the Past, or Ocarina of Time. Finally decided on this because without it there wouldn't be any others.

And my number one favorite game:

    1. GTA San Andreas

This is the game that I keep going back to more than any other. I've beaten it several times, and I almost never get tired of playing it. And it has THE BEST soundtrack of any game, ever (well, non-game music soundtrack anyway).

And yes I realize that there are three NES titles on that list. So what, I'm a nostalgic fanboy

  • Reporting posts is now available in the upgrade, but this is more in regards to people abusing their profiles for spam purposes which is harder to control.

  • I understand your reservations Ethan, but we are trying to make it compliment the site, not be a blockade for anything. One useful thing rep can do is create natural filters such as the one I propose that should help keep the site in a lot better condition without having mods/admins spend hours of time checking them and deleting them manually!

  • sved, what sections in particular? I'm trying to design it to be as open as possible, but things such as editing tutorials require higher rep to filter out people who want to abuse it.

  • I'm thinking of making there be a 200 rep requirement to have a homepage URL in your profile, and to fill the about me fields. I've been noticing a lot of users signing up just to spam URLS in profiles which sucks. We want to stop this if we can.

    Example:

    http://www.scirra.com/users/buildingcredit

Thoughts? Cool with everyone to introduce this low limit?

  • We understand there is some demand for other languages for the site, but at this stage it would involve far too much work for too little payoff. It's something we will consider in the future though.
