[quote:1no0o7id]While Microsoft has dropped hints that the Internet Explorer brand is going away, the software maker has now confirmed that it will use a new name for its upcoming browser successor, codenamed Project Spartan. Speaking at Microsoft Convergence yesterday, Microsoft's marketing chief Chris Capossela revealed that the company is currently working on a new name and brand. "We’re now researching what the new brand, or the new name, for our browser should be in Windows 10," said Capossela. "We’ll continue to have Internet Explorer, but we’ll also have a new browser called Project Spartan, which is codenamed Project Spartan. We have to name the thing."

Internet Explorer will still exist in some versions of Windows 10 mainly for enterprise compatibility, but the new Project Spartan will be named separately and will be the primary way for Windows 10 users to access the web. Microsoft has tried, unsuccessfully, to shake off the negative image of Internet Explorer over the past several years with a series of amusing campaigns mocking Internet Explorer 6. The ads didn't improve the situation, and Microsoft's former Internet Explorer chief left the company in December, signalling a new era for the browser.

  • - OK.

  • - I've referenced you ages ago, do you have an idea for a nice platformer?

  • lwgames - Added!

Aurel - I've made an update to the OP. I've moved The Next Penelope to the new "non-greenlight" section as you not using Greenlight to make the game available on Steam.

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

Try Now Construct 3 users don't see these ads
  • Just hook a shrimp after killing 50 enemies with just using a single unit in Protector!

  • I just saw that the Construct 2 downloads has reached over 2 million downloads, is there a special badge for who is downloading C2 in the period?

    Ashley

  • sqiddster - I've tested the demo:

    Chrome 41 Beta - about 30-42 FPS

    IE 11 - about 20-30 FPS

    NW.js - about 20-50 FPS

  • MVG - Thanks for the idea, but I want my game similar to Night Sky (a pseudo hybrid between Night Sky and Mario Bros./DKC/Megaman/any popular platformers).

I've made and almost finishing the tutorial level.

  • MVG - Do you play my game, Perry the Explorer Alien on Scirra Arcade (check my profile for the link)? The game will feature the alien which tuns himself into a ball and the theme is a kind of like in a half-futuristic village (I think ).

  • Thanks,

  • Naji - Nice idea, I'm actually just made rotating platforms which can be activated by a switch. Also, enemies, crates and pits are the best obstacles for me and being also implemented. There anyone else have an idea for a physics platformer?

alextro, , sqiddster - How about you 3?

  • Naji - See the title of this thread, it says "What a rolling physics platformer needs?".

  • Somebody's there?

Naji - Do you like physics puzzles?

  • sqiddster - Not testing the demo you provided yet, but I've play the demo of Airscape on Steam. It's really slow on my old Lenovo netbook. But on my new HP laptop, it only slow on game and level startups (also on the level completion state) and back to appropriate FPS.

    My new HP laptop specs:

    • Windows 8.1 x64
    • AMD A8-6410 APU with AMD Radeon R5 Graphics
    • 2.00 GB RAM (1.70 GB usable)
  • Ize - It looks like a good tool to find latest plugins for C2.

Maybe you should give the UI a bit of flat-style design like the current Windows Metro UI.
