  • Problem Description

    A javascript error occur when previewing a project using nw.js while an another instance of nw.js is present.

    Attach a Capx

    Occurred even on a fresh, new project.

    Steps to Reproduce Bug

    • Create a new project
    • Preview using nw.js
    • Wait until nw.js appeared and successfully load the game
    • Preview again
    • Wait again

    Observed Result

    A javascript error occur:

    and then the preview will show

    Expected Result

    No errors should be occurred before the preview

    Affected Browsers

    • nwjs: (YES)

    Operating System and Service Pack

    Windows 10 64-bit

    Construct 2 Version ID

    r218 beta

  • It also occurred when right-clicking outside the canvas (black area).

  • Good that NW.js works again.

    But, still we cannot export using NW.Js plugin object, same blank screen bug on startup. So we cannot use custom save/load systems, having to go with C2's default Save/Load.

    But unfortunately, I really need to use the NW.js plugin object for the Sandbox mode in my game, in order to load and save files in a Windows dialog UI. Any alternatives?

    I've tried with my game, Perry World (will maintain the game back in some quarter of 2016), I've add the "Request fullscreen" action to the loader layout, but it doesn't trigger.

    Also, like what told, the local storage was buggy. It saves to IndexedDB instead of Local Storage.

  • Just tried the Cordova tools in the latest VS2015 Community, built the APK and tested it on my phone.

    The bad side of the test is no musics nor sounds from the game.

    Is this the Cordova side, Visual Studio or my phone (my phone was the almost-obsolete Samsung Galaxy Chat with less RAM)?

  • I have BlueStacks in my PC, it runs games almost better on my PC.

    I can now upload pictures through my Instagram or playing my favorite mobile games (my phone can't play popular games).

    But now, I've rarely used it as it bites more than 40% of my RAM (I've only 1.7 GB of usable RAM since February).
