  • Hey vikuserro, I have a game that might work for your platform. How do I send it to you?

  • Just set the animation to not loop in the properties tab when you go to edit your sprites image.

  • Or you could make a global variable that tracks if the button was clicked, where on its first click, it'll set it to 1 and allow a song to play, but if you click again, it is set to 2 and won't play.

Try "On button clicked -> Sys: Add 1 to variable -> | if variable = 1 -> play sound"

  • Hey man. I've been using Construct 2 for a while now and I think I could help you out with programming and teaching. If your interested, just send me an email at or Skype me at aidan310.

I've done many tests in C2, including an advanced working dialog system, health bar, and multiplayer lobby. I live on the east coast of the US, and have collaborated with other devs on their games before. Thanks a lot.

  • imothep85 I agree with you. A lot of the graphics for the game are just placeholders for now, like the pink box. I've been working on sprucing up the graphics and design, and make the animations smoother. I plan on doing this today. Also I'll send you the voices today

  • Hey everyone, be sure to check out ZombieTwitch on Steam Greenlight! steamcommunity(dot)com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=551227968

I decided since I've seen a lot of these "devlogs" on the forums, that I'd make my own devlog. My game is called ZombieTwitch, a 2D fast paced sidescrolling shooter where you play as Toby, a young entrepreneur who must fight his way out of a zombie-infested Sunset City before the BCDA destroys the city.

    The menu...

    The tutorial...

I've been working on this project for a while, since about July 2015, and it's changed a lot since its first version. Originally, I planned on having this be a multiplayer-focused game, with singleplayer tacked on as a little bonus. However, the latency issues with all the behaviors and events, along with my inexperience in using multiplayer made it very difficult. Eventually, it switched from being multiplayer-focused to being singleplayer-focused. Multiplayer is still available, and I'm still working on it.

While I'm still developing the game, and there are too many things I've done to list them all, I'll start recording all the changes I make to the game here. i hope to have a demo complete (with the tutorial, and 2 singleplayer levels) by Thanksgiving. However, I haven't even begun coding the zombies yet, so it'll probably take a long time to complete, and probably delay me. Below is my current schedule.

    Schedule:

November 7, 2015: Devlog released + Public Beta released Thanksgiving 2015: Demo complete December 5, 2015: Public Demo released February 1, 2016: Singleplayer fully coded and completed March 10, 2016: Multiplayer fully coded and completed Sometime in late Spring - early Summer: Game fully completed and released

    Key features:

    • Multiplayer!
    • Singleplayer Campaign and Survival Modes!
    • HD graphics and cinematics!
    • Controller support!
    • Music from your favorite SoundClouders / Composers from around the world, like:
    - Checks N Balances - Bustre - MLW / Holder - west metro - babe - Petr Yakyamsev - and more!
    • PC, Mac, and Linux Support!
    • FREE!!!

If you want to try out an early copy of the game, you can do so here:

gamejolt(dot)com/games/zombietwitch/86837 -- be sure to change the (dot) to a .

Keep in mind that this is a beta copy. It'll be very limited in what it can do, and show only the basics of the game. Some features may not be fully supported, finished, or available. If you find a bug or issue, please leave a comment below.

I don't know if the HTML5 version loads properly -- it didn't for me.

  • Hey I might be able to help you out. Send me an email at or add me on skype with aidan310

  • Hey nicotine, do you still want my help? We haven't spoken in a while

Is this is a "Work for free until the game makes millions before you get payed" sort of deal? Or do you actually plan on paying the artists in a professional manor?

First off, I plan on releasing the game for free. I won't be selling the game.

Secondly, when I state that "Payment is available, but that will be worked out later." I mean that we will work out a form of payment that work best for your situation and my situation. For example, if you wanted, I can pay you after you finish coding a certain part of the game, I could pay you after the game is finished. Also, if you wanted to be paid in some weird form, like games on Steam, I can accommodate that. We'll work out your payment the way you want, as we work on the project.

If your interested, please contact me on skype at aidan310 or email me at

Thanks again, I hope you can help me out.

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

Try Now Construct 3 users don't see these ads
  • Easy. "On collision with Sprite -> go to layout by name -> choose("layoutname1","layoutname2","layoutname3"). Use as many names as you need.

  • Hi,

I have set up my own multiplayer functions using the built in C2 Multiplayer WebRTC.

Depending on what you functionality you need I could certainly code the multiplayer part for you.

    Regards,

    Tom

I'm interested in seeing what your mutliplayer system is. Please contact me on my Skype at aidan310 or email me at amead237(at)gmail.com

  • I'm still looking for other people to possibly help, so if you are interested, please do not hesitate to contact me.

  • Hey TechnoBeaver, how are you doing? I am more than willing to help though there are some caveats. I am a senior javascript engineer and have been programming for about 12 years now. I have more than enough experience to write a multiplayer backend for you, but the problem is my experience with Construct is fairly low. So, speeding up your multiplayer functionality, adding save games, etc would all be easy on the server side for me, but on the game side I would need some guidance.

I have no need for payment or an ad for anything. I just want to have my name in the credits, and I want to have a fun side project to work on with cool people.

    * Oh, and I like long walks on the beach and pinã coladas.

Sounds good man, I can definitely put your name in the credits. Add me on skype at aidan310

Sike, I found you on skype and sent a request.
