  • Well, I assumed that's what the publisher of the plugin meant (http://www.scirra.com/forum/plugin-load-jsOn_topic50331.html). I'm still pretty new to construct 2, and I don't know of any other preview option.

    And basically, I export my project as HTML5 and when I upload that folder to dropbox, I want to be able to just click on the index.html and it will load the game instance for me. However, it either comes up with a black screen, or asks me to download the individual file.

    EDIT: Okay, i've figured it out now. It was just due to dropbox's recent changes to their public folders. Apparently you have to manually activate a public folder through your account before you can get the publicly available link. Thank you for the reply though!

  • Hey, I'm working with the LoadJSON plugin, and the publisher noted that it does not work in preview mode. I've tried hosting it on dropbox, so when you load the link, the game loads, e.g. dl.dropbox.com/u/10778449/coffeemug/index.html.

    But no matter what I do, it just keeps asking me to download the file onto my system. Have they removed this feature or something?

  • Okay, just tried that. Split it into 200 frames, and even with 200 frames the quality is pretty bad. Doesn't look like this is possible then. :( Maybe something which allows videos to be put behind objects will pop up in the future.

  • Thank you for the replies, I see that the Video Plugin will not work, as it completely covers the screen. As for jegcelorio's post, the video is only about 9 seconds long and I want it on repeat. How would I go about splitting it into frames as you suggested?

  • Hey, is there any possible way I can have a video looping in the background of a game? I've tried iFrame, but whatever I seem to do, it just loads over all of my other objects which is not what I want. Any help is appreciated. Thank you, Rogalog.

  • Hello, this is an awesome plugin, i'm just having a little bit of trouble. I want to have a looping video playing in the background of my game, but even when I put the HTMl iFrame on the bottom layer, and put everything else on top of it, it still covers my entire screen. Is there anyway to put it behind all other existing objects? Thanks a lot, Rogalog.

  • Hello, I was recently given an example game by the awesome 'procrastinator' (link: dl.dropbox.com/u/666574/rogalog%20-%20typing%20game.capx).

    Is it possible to have the colour feature reversed? So, for example, have the text stay white, but have the letters you type turn green, and then after a short duration (0.5-1 second) disappear?

  • So, I have a basic typing game, with words coming from the top and you have to type the word to destroy the enemy. However, I want to have levels in it, so as you progress, more and more words appear. I've had a look around, and I can only see the use of additional layouts, however, as my background is going to be the same, it's literally only going to be a few events changing every level, how would I go about this?

  • Hey, i'm relatively new to Construct 2, and I was wondering if anyone could give me an overview on how to go about making a typing game like anthonykojima's Zombie Typing Survivor (http://www.scirra.com/forum/my-new-game-zombie-typing-survivor_topic56536.html).

    I'm mainly unsure on how to have the text box come down, and have:

    1. The first key pressed to determine which word is being tackled.

    2. How to have the letters disappear after each successful key is pressed.

    3. How to have the word/enemy disappear once all characters have been typed.

    Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.
