  • If you do a instance variable compare, like if object sprite variable "istouched" =1, then do a sub event with on touch end, that object should be in the sol.

On any touch end? So making it a sub event would make it apply to the former properties, thus restricting it to that touch?

  • Notion, did you build this with C2?

  • I'll try these if I can get the first event working thanks. Could you elaborate newt?

  • Hi, I believe I'm the only one with a Construct2 app currently on the appstore. (Thread on the forums)

I'm in the process of putting up the new version with Game Center support as well as a new game.

The sad reality is the mobile situation is hard, very hard and currently I'm stuck with PhoneGap because the alternatives lack proper support (buggy, missing plugin functionality, no gamecenter etc etc).

I'm open to answer to any questions you guys may have.

Congrats! How well does it run on the app compared thorugh just previewing it in safari. Because on my ipod 4g with v5 ios, I get about 7 frames with a scrolling background and 10 objects. Plus half the touch controls aren't working and I can't use sound or music >_<

  • Right so I can't invert on object touched and inverting touching object would call the action over and over. How do I make an action happen when a user stops touching a particular object?

  • > so basically, there is no way to compile to .ipa - even for testing only, without having developers account on apple?

You can test games on CocoonJS launcher app and appMobi app.lab, the problem is compiling .ipa NEEDS iOS developer account, there no way to compile .ipa without keys... i know it sucks.

How functional was your game? Were the frames constant and high? Did you use music and sfx, how complex was it?

  • To be honest i cant get anything to work right with mobile. I even bought a samsung galaxy s3, ipad3 and ipod touch to test. Cant get app mobi or anything to work on my devices.

    EDIT

actually I tried phonegap. the performance was a little iffy but at least it was running on my samsung galaxy s3.

It seems anything above 9.5mb -10mb wont be able to make it to mobile?

    What where the primary issues?

  • I'm aware of the licensing and stuff and thanks joannesalfa that's a useful site. So did you compile it to xcode via construct 2's cocoonjs on a mac?

Also how functional was it? Were the frames constant and high? Did you use music and sfx, how complex was it?

  • So where does the mac-required restriction come, and how difficult were these obstacles?

  • Just wandering if anyone has actually uploaded a construct 2 game to the apple app store, I've read all this stuff saying it works but a real example and link would be great.

  • Not a web app a full fledged open source game that runs fluently on ios. I'm having issues figuring things out and being able to examine a working project would really help. If anyone knows of any that would be great. Thanks!

  • What client do you use on the device? An ipod touch cannot just read an html 5 file...

  • Try Construct 3

  • Kittens cry when a child is cut off from opportunity by monetary restrictions. <img src="smileys/smiley19.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

  • Something seems fishy about this.

  • I feel people would be much quicker to invest if they are given this opportunity within the demo, if I where able to test my game on my iphone, I would get much more serious about getting the money to purchase the full version. To actually play your game on your phone is a very influential experience. Now I realize this is a great feature to incentive people to buy the software. But it could be restricted to like 20 event projects only or limited number of uses? Thanks for considering...
