  • Im not an artist, I just want a small form factor light mobile way to do dev with construct. Plus I was thinking I could attach a full screen if needed at work. I was playing with the surface 3 in pc world today and it is very very nice and snappy. My only concern was with the Intel graphics drivers is that still an issue?

This is from the https://www.scirra.com/manual/6/system-requirements post.

"A nVidia or AMD graphics card with latest drivers. We recommend you avoid any hardware using Intel graphics chips due to their poor performance, stability, and feature set."

  • Hi Guys,

Just wondering do you think a surface pro 3 would be fine for developing with Construct2 I realise its not the best option but its to use it as a portable development environment. The main reason I am concerned is the fact that it uses the Intel HD graphics and the recommendations for construct is to not use the Intel graphics as its support is lacking, is this still true? Is anyone using a Surface Pro 3? My only other option was to get a Macbook Air and bootcamp it.

    Thanks

    Kind Regards

  • Yeah my only comment would be I felt a bit bored at times. The green ghosty type balls that come across give me a bit of a thrill but the normal "enemies" are a bit dull in movement I think it just seems a bit too static otherwise. So maybe some extra game mechanic changes, maybe negative power ups as well like speed up game, cloud coverage (a cloud comes over and covers a bit of the screen so you don't have as long to judge if you want to roll or jump. Just a few bits that would change the gameplay a bit. Just my two pennies .

    Nice graphics as well

    Cheers

  • Nice I just got the high score (anonymous

  • Looks like a very nice game, ive recently (in the last month) moved to an iPhone so I cant play it at the moment. When / are you planning on putting this out on iPhone?

    Cheers

  • Giganten, Ive been using parallels and its great, its got awesome integration for Mac, its like the windows apps are mac with there seamless integration. Just run it as admin so that you can set the IP for the preview in construct and play your games in your mac browser so you get better performance in regards to testing the game, even though it is perfectly playable in the virtual machine as well I can imagine with tougher games using lots of effects and webgl filters etc it would slow down.

  • I really enjoyed it I must agree not just a normal shoot them up again very well done. I was trying to jump too, but I do think the ability not to jump does make it much harder (which is a good thing). Love the titles and love the pixel art great job when can I download it on my iPhone and get top score ?

  • Thanks Hardty is that supposed to be coming in the next update then? Is it in a current beta build?

    Thanks

    Kind Regards

  • Hi Beaver, its for a game idea I have involving sending videos to each other. So I would want to record the phones camera and then send that yo a central server and then have the other client download that.

  • Hi I am just wondering if it is possible to record the camera from a phone as a video and upload it?

    Thanks

    Kind Regards

  • So can you make multiplayer without using a peer to peer network i.e send updates to a central server and download from a central server instead?

  • Nice, how long did it take you to port out of interest?

  • Very nice game, i like the cute graphics, the only thing I can say is that sometimes clicking the pencil to start doesn't seem to work very well (but maybe thats just my thumb!) and it would be nice to have some instruction it took me a few seconds to realise that I need to tap the pencil to start so maybe a message of tap me to start or something like that in the nice doodle style that you have going on .

    Cheers

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

Try Now Construct 3 users don't see these ads
  • Indeed, im actually a programmer / developer by trade (wish all developing was as fun and instantaneous) but I really enjoy using Construct 2 to prototype ideas but really it can be (and has even by the games that I know had been made with construct2 such as those that have been greenlit on steam but I am sure there are many more that developers have kept under wraps) used for the whole complete game cycle. I can see some great ideas getting pumped out fast from here now. Its a great piece of software and I whole heatedly agree with you Vancouver you do get more than what you pay for .

vancouver, just seen your signature the piano app is very ingenious I love it

  • Good fun nice work my only suggestion would be leaderboard integration well done though nice simple concept that is easy to pick up but hard to master.
