• Hello! I love to code and make games. I came across construct 2 by accident and I'm glad I did! Love it and the community is great and very helpful!

Please keep the updates coming Ashley!

  • Hi Yann thanks for your reply,

Could you possibly post an example of the method that you stated above?

I'm not use to families yet.

  • Hello, I'm having problems with my game and the spawning. I'm going to include a screen shot of my problem along with the .capx. Basically, at the beginning of the layout, I have a for loop that generates 10 platforms and random positions. However, the problem is some overlap each other. How would I fix this?

    Thanks

  • Hello everyone!

I'm working on a current game and would like some feedback on the features, goal of game and possibly some features you would like to see.

The goal of the game is to destroy all the enemies on the map and then destroy the fort and collect the gold. There's only one level and you must destroy all the enemies before you can destroy the fort.

    Game controls

w-move forward w+d - move right up at 45 degree angle

a-move left w+a - move left up at 45 degree angle

s-move backward s+d - move right down at 45 degree angle

d-move right s+a - move left down at 45 degree angle

    Left mouse to fire shells.

  • So, I need some help creating AI for my game. I'm going to include my .capx so its not so confusing. Basically, I need the enemies (which are brown tanks) to rotate towards the player(Big green tank) and then shoot at the player. I got the shooting part figured out, but the rotating is not working. I've already tried an attempt at this, but its not working so good. The problem I faced with it was that I couldn't implement it to other enemies in the game. Also, the way the sprites are drawn are throwing me off.

So if anyone can figure out how to make this and be able to transfer easly to other enemies, I would be happy

P.S I'm using the battlefield art pack that is included when you buy construct 2 standard license.

  • I know that "ctrl" + mousewheel is zooming in and zooming out. Thats like the only one I know because I just join the community less than 12 hours ago . But yeah, I would like to see creatable shortcut keys.

  • Hey, thanks alot Nimtrix! .

  • Hello all, I'm new to construct 2 but have picked it up rather quickly. Anyway, my question has to do with switching layouts. I have a main menu layout with a "play" object that the user clicks. Once they click the object, it brings them to the first level. My problem comes when I try to get back to the main menu.

I dont know why this is happening but it would be appreciated if someone could help. Also, with the file I'm going to include, The "play" object on the main screen animates to a less alpha version once the mouse is over it. This doesn't work in the first level layout. Help with that would be great too
