  • The Magistross code worked in the Construct but not on Newgrounds.

    I also tried to get the url like Newt suggested but, once again, it worked in Construct (it gave me localhost) but failed in Newgrounds (gave me "0").

  • Thank you so much, just tried it and it's functioning great.

    I'm o.k. with iframeing but I don't like the fact that these views are not visible in the Newgrounds game bar, just in my Game Statistics. I will use the function to open game on NG in a new window if the browser url is not identical to NG url. That way I will also have a NG gameplay-view and player can choose to play the iframed version or the NG version.

    EDIT:

    No, it's not working on Newgrounds. After a few tests with both unpublished and published game it seems that the function is always returning 'false' on game's url. I believe that this is happening because the game is also being iframed into newgrounds.com from uploads.ungrounded.net.

  • Is there any way to check what's the currant url that my game is being played?

    Explanation:

    I have placed a game on Newgrounds and, after about 7 days, my game is being iframed on a number of different websites. The gameplays are displayed in my NG Game Statistics but not being displayed in my NG published game bar (I have over 3000 plays on NG but over 4000 plays that can't be seen apart from my private NG Game Statistics).

    What I want to do is check what's the currant url of my game and if it's not: http://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/xxxxxx then redirect to that official NG game url. Is something like that possible?

  • Thanx for reply, the id.net does seems a bit overly-complicated just to display ads, I don't think I will explore their features unless I get to the zero-ads point

    However I was approved by EpicGameAds and my ad-test was successful so I will give it a go. They are not really 'cutting-edge' and it looks like they seen a better days but so have I

    I intend to display EpicGameAds with free flash 3D engine called Cyberix3D. The process will be: I export the empty 'level' with ads to swf and then iframe that swf with POD's plugin in C2

    ..and then, suddenly, I seem to be a member of something called Id.net with some kind of a 3-part Identity profile <img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_lol.gif" alt=":lol:" title="Laughing">

    Does anyone knows what Id.net is? Does this have anything to do with in-game ads? <img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_eek.gif" alt=":shock:" title="Shocked">

    5. AdSense (seems to demand applying with website and not game).

    6. Ad4game (seems to be just for mobile-platform advertising).

    7. CPMstar - I have been rejected but they will consider new application.

    8. EpicGameAds - My account is still pending.

    9. AdTomatik (seems to be for websites).

    10. AdvertiseGame - They are closing down the service.

    I now believe that the best solution would be to create a website, apply for ads with it and then Iframe the ads into the game

    This is what I tried so far:

    1. AdMob (seems to be just for mobile-platform advertising).

    2. Leadbolt (works for mobile-platform advertising).

    3. CPMfun (didn’t reply to me so far on my question concerning the non-website ads).

    4. New Grounds APIv3 plugins (doesn’t include NG Ads at this moment).

    5. AdSense (seems to demand applying with website and not game).

    6. Ad4game (seems to be just for mobile-platform advertising).

    7. CPMstar (have some-sort-of sponsor system that I don’t get or want).

    8. EpicGameAds (haven’t approved my account yet but they seem to be for flash-games).

    9. AdTomatik (seems to be for websites).

    10. AdvertiseGame (seems to be for websites).

    If anyone has any ideas on how I can proceed with this in any direction (can even be a theoretical direction) please write your idea.

    …I managed to produce some sort of reverse-refraction-thing with lines rendering outwards:

    But unfortunately this is not the desired effect. What I needed was for image to render inwards, similar to the default rendering mode, but placing the ‘camera’ inside the sphere.

    Does anyone know how to modify the script to accomplish ‘inside’ sphere view or something similar?

  • Now I get it, I have applied it on the panorama and it does have a similar effect, thanks a lot I’ll look into it and post results.

  • I just tried it on vignette image (it’s on top of the panorama images) but it doesn’t seem to have any effect on the panorama
