  • Check out the Clay.IO plugin. I played around with that recently and I think it may have enough functions to do what your asking.

  • Hello everyone!

I just finished my first game with Construct 2. Admittedly, it is more of a game to play around with Construct and get accustomed to using the interface. I wanted to share it though and see what people thought. The artwork is very simple. I'm more curious about the game mechanics and suggestions or just overall how anyone feels about it.

I also integrated Clay.IO with it. I was curious how it worked.

I learned a lot about using Construct with this game. Not so much the interface (it seems very well designed in the way of OOP design) but the intricacies (like preloading sounds and what not).

I don't think I can post links so I apologize for the non-clickable link.

  • arontwose Thanks for that. Yeah, I was wondering if there was an easier way. In a lot of other forums I read my control panel for the account has a list of subscribed threads. It makes life a lot easier to follow conversations. I was wondering if there was something similar. It looks like the forum software has something like that. I just didn't know if I read the documentation and features wrong or if something just wasn't enabled or if I was just being blind and silly.

  • I'm gonna go ahead and bump this thread. I may just be being silly but I still don't see it. I looked into the forum software and it sounds like it should have the capability. But I'm just not seeing it. Does anyone have any suggestions?

  • They do look very nice. Do you think you could do some kind of rough tutorial at some point? What program are you using to make your models?

  • Awesome man. Thank you!

  • I'm new to development, so take my opinion with a grain of salt.

But... I've found just jumping into things and building small pieces at a time keep me motivated. I can test and play a small portion. It's the small accomplishments that keep me pumped.

I understand the importance of planning ahead. I am very meticulous with planning in my professorial life. It's tedious and boring though. This is a hobby. If I plan a hobby then I just sit, stare at a wall, and start to cry (it reminds me of work).

  • I feel really silly for asking this, but how do I view the threads I've replied to? I've been searching and can't find an easy way except to search for my user name. I'm accustomed to other forum software where it will show new posts to threads the user has participated with in their control panel or something to that affect. I'm not seeing anything on the forum page or in my profile? Am I missing something?

  • Awesome! I saw someone else do this before a couple months back? I think it's the neatest idea in the world. It's a little late for me to do it though.

  • I couldn't let a shameless plug go to waste. I voted. Good luck!
